Very nice flat in the Quartier Latin near Rue Mouffetard and 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral.
It overlooks a large and flourish courtyard.
In an old house, not in a building therefore this flat is very quiet and has a lot of charm.
This is my personnal flat I rent it when I leave, therefore my personal things remain there (but hidden)
1 large living room separated from the kitchen by a bar. Fully equipped. Lovely decoration. Large fridge, toaster, freezer, hot plates, WiFi, HIFI (Zeppelin AIR from Bowers&Wilkins), LED television with cable, Sofa, washing machine, iron, ironing board, vacuum...
1 bedroom with Queen-sized bed (I furnish fresh bed linens and towels)
1 bathroom with a bathtub + 1 HAIR DRYER ;-)
Moreover, it is a safe, pleasant neighbourhood, with clothes stores, food stores, wine stores, a huge open-air market (three times a week) and famous Parisian bakeries almost next door.
5 MINUTES WALKING DISTANCE
The apartment is located in the 5th district just near the “Jardin des Plantes”, and near the Saint Louis Island.
On the Saint Louis Island the streetscape is absolutely beautiful, with a myriad of interesting shops, boutiques, and restaurants.
Nearby the pedestrian rue Mouffetard and the Pantheon, which is said to be the right heart of the Latin quarter.
Close to shops, bars, restaurants, diners, Metro, Arab World Institute, Saint Germain... Latin Quarter is definitely the best place in Paris !
Security deposit 100 euros, refundable after departure (please see Airbnb explanations) https://www.airbnb.com/help/question/140
I’m bilingual French/English, and will do my best to help you on your stay. You will have the whole apartment to yourselves, this is not a share. Note that I might not be there when you arrive, but my girlfriend will open the door and welcome you with pleasure.
- There are restaurants everywhere outside. But the nice place is when you go right outside
my block in direction of the Pantheon or Rue Mouffetard.
- There is a supermarket @ 34 rue Monge. (5 minutes walk)
- If you want to move, you are next to Metro Jussieu (line 7, the pink one) and Cardinal
Lemoine (line 10, the yellow-brown one). Bus stops are when you go left outside my block,
- Velibʼ is very cool ! (bicycles for rent everywhere). Quiet complicated the first time but great
after this. Download the App “Velib” on the App Store if geek... ;-) It will give you the location
of stations, number of free bikes, numbers of free park places....
- Please leave the flat as clean as you found it.
- There is a floorcloth next to the bath and an hoover in the cupboard behind my bed, lots of
cleaning products are behind the bin in the kitchen.
- When I wash the dishes I let them dry on the bar. Donʼt worry, I will put it back in the
- I will wash the towels and bed linens. Don't worry.
Hello future Paris visitors. We will be honest and tell you about the pros and the cons of our experience.
Pros: the location, very easy to walk to Notre Dame & around Latin Quarter. It looks like the picture but not exactly. See the con section. They were nice enough to call us a cab to drive us to the train station. Alexi's fiancé was nice enough to carry up the luggage on our arrival date.
Cons: it looks like the picture but a less clean version of the picture.
All the rooms are smaller than they seem. The only get 5 to 6 minutes of hot water at a time and then you have to wait about 30 minutes before you get hot water again. This has more to do with the age of the building.
Half of the lights switches don't work.
The washer does not work.
The kitchen is messy.
The bedroom was so small we kept hitting our feet against the bed because there is no space between one wall and the bed.
Alex was a great host and was super quick to get back to me and would accommodate all needs. The place is great, it's in a great location and makes getting around very easy. Don't think you can get much better for your money and I will stay here again. Thanks Alex
I had a wonderful week in Alexis flat and felt like a real Parisien! Would have stayed longer if I could...
The apartment is exactly as shown on the pictures. Very good located. And the contact was very friendly and immediate. Check-in and -out worked perfectly.
So I hope we'll see us soon!
We had a nice stay at Alexis apartment. It is warm and cozy, and very quiet. The location is amazing, as you can walk to Notre Dame, the Bastille and the Latin Quarter very easily.
I would say that the apartment has a worn feeling, and could use some TLC. My husband fixed the bathroom door handle that fell off in your hand, and some light switches that were loose. The apartment has a kind of student housing feeling.
That said, we were comfortable and happy there for 8 nights.
