About This Listing
Our family-owned 100 acre ranch is located in 2 miles south east of Teasdale, UT just 13 miles west of Capitol Reef National Park and at the foot of Boulder Mountain.
At the Cactus Hill Motel you can enjoy the beauty and serenity of being off the beaten path.
We are 5 miles from Torrey, Utah. Don't depend on GPS. From Highway 12 take the Teasdale exit and go about 5 miles to the Cactus Hill Motel sign. From highway 24 take the Teasdale exit and go through the town and follow the road, going East about two miles until you see the sign for Cactus Hill Motel. Call if you need to.
Also, the Airb&b map is not complete. We are two miles out of the town of Teasdale.
We have a 4 unit motel on a working ranch. Two queens in each room and a nice size bathroom. Microwave and small fridge, but no major cooking available. No cable, but a very peaceful place.
Rooms have two queen beds and can accommodate up to 4 people, $58 for 2 people then add $5 for each additional person. Price includes a sales tax required by the state.
This is a real (small, 4 room) hotel, so we did not meet the hostess. But her manager greeted us. The room was spacious, the window opened for fresh air, and it was definitely quiet on the ranch. All the restaurants are 8 miles away in Torrey, but we enjoyed being "off the beaten path."
This is a basic roadside motel just a few miles off the highway, which makes for a very quiet night's rest. Our room was a little outdated in terms of decor, but was otherwise a very clean room with comfortably soft sheets and new plush towels. The room also came with a coffee machine, microwave and small refrigerator, so just fine for passing through.
We never met our host, Linda, but there was a nice man waiting for us in the motel office ready to give us our room key when we arrived.
When we reserved, we thought we were staying at a lady's house called Linda and that it was a bed and breakfast in a family ranch.
When we arrived we were really disappointed to find a MOTEL.
What we didn't find was : Linda (a man showed us to a room), the ranch, nor the breakfast.
After re-reading the ad we saw the mention of a motel but since we booked through a b&b website we did not expect to be in a motel or hotel.
Anyway, the room was clean and well equipped, the bed comfy and the neighborhood very quiet.
The Cactus Hill Motel was the perfect stop on our journey through Utah. It's basic, but very comfortable and clean and easy to check in and out. The room was a good size and the bathroom facility was excellent. I highly recommend staying here!
This was the perfect place for what we needed. Had just finished a week long camping trip down in Zion before coming up to Capitol Reef for a quick stop for a friend's wedding. Room was clean and tidy, water was hot, and the view from our window was of the beautiful red, tan, and orange sandstone. Quiet and quaint. Would stay here again.
