The Parlour is a ten minute walk to Robertsbridge, pubs and main line station. It has wonderful south facing views. The Parlour provides level entry access suitable for people with disabilities. Its contemporary design and furnishings offer comfortable clean living. No expense has been spared on this cowshed conversion. My place is good for couples, business travellers, and families (with kids).

The space
The Parlour
The parlour has recently been converted to a high standard, providing level entry access suitable for four people, offering two double bedrooms, one has a super king size bed and wet room suitable people with disabilities and including wheelchair access, the second bedroom has a king size bed with en suite wet room, with under floor heating throughout the building. Luxury towels are supplied and white cotton bed linen, hair dryer and ironing facilities.
The Parlour has a fully equipped kitchen with double oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle and toaster, all you need to cook a full Christmas dinner. The living area has a wood-burning stove, Internet WIFI with smart TV. There is full under floor heating throughout. There are lovely southerly views and a west-facing patio providing privacy to relax and enjoy a BBQ.

Guest access
Should you wish to go away with a larger group and retain some privacy and independence, we have The Dairy which adjoins The Parlour, this has been converted to the same high standard with facilities suitable for two people, both units are provided with designated parking. The Parlour is a ten minute walk to the village, shops, pubs and main line station.

When you go out please shut ALL windows, for security purposes. Your personal items are NOT covered in our insurance, you leave them at your own risk.

Please do not park in front of the Dairy and the Parlour. Please park on directly in front of the black hay barn.

We have Twiggy our Jack Russell cross Chiwawa who is a very good alarm, she may bark when anyone arrives. We do ask you not to feed her or let her in to your Holiday let however appealing she looks at you! She can be friendly once she is comfortable with you, she will initially be suspicious of you, its best not to point your finger at her and ignore her until she accepts you She is NOT to be trusted with children.

Robertsbridge is a large rural village in East Sussex within the civil parish of Salehurst & Robertsbridge and located about 12 miles north of Hastings. The 14th and 15th centuries seem to have been particularly prosperous and have left a legacy of many timber framed houses in the village centre. Robertsbridge, owes its existence to the founding of a Cistercian Abbey in the 12th century.
Excellent links to London and Hastings with a main line station 10 minutes walk from The Parlour and The Dairy. The Kent and East Sussex railway run steam trains between the near by village of Bodiam to the elegant market town of Tenterden. For the steam train enthusiast Robertsbridge has its one Rother Valley Railway supporting 2/3 mile of railway track. Gray-Nicolls makers of the famous cricket bats manufacture in the centre of our village.
We are blessed with many national Trust and English Heritage properties with in 10 to 30 minutes drive including Bodiam Castle, Battle Abby 1066 country, Batemans the home of Rudyard Kipling, Scotney Castle, Herstmonceux Castle and Observatory.
Robertsbridge is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It’s a hive for the active with a wealth footpaths without needing a car, including several walks to nearby village pubs and restaurants. Bedgebury Pinetum is open to walkers, cyclist and horse riders. Go-App is also at Bedgebury. Bewl Water supports 13 miles of walking and cycle tract.
The ancient town of Rye with its cobble streets and charming inns and tea rooms is under 30 minutes drive, this is a must for any visitor. The vibrant town of Battle which was the site of ‘The Battle of Hastings William The Conquer 1066’ has a wealth of independent shops and certainly worth a stroll along its raised pavements. The Cinque port Town of Hastings famed for its bohemian old Town still has a commercial beech landing fishing fleet. The beautiful South Downs can be accessed from Eastbourne 40 minutes away were you can walk the South Down way.

Graham and Louise Jarvis have lived in Robertsbridge most of their lives and are well connected with the local community. Graham is a 5th generation family butcher owning the Butchers shop in the near by village of Burwash, He is well know for his home made Burwash Beauty sausages and dry cured bacon. Locally sourced beef aged 21 days, award winning dairy products are just a sample of products sold and can be delivered to your fridge on a daily bases. Graham is a keen fitness enthusiast and is happy to accompany any one on local cycle rides, Louise is also happy to accompany on shorter runs around the village if you so wish. Louise’s passion is horse riding, her two horses Madge and Snoopy are stabled on site and are always happy for a pat and a fuss. Twiggy the terrier keeps the foxes at bay and the visitors in check!
