This is a HUGE modern contemporary minimalist studio approx 10 meters x 8 meters with a double bed, wonderful linens, towels and modern twin rain showers in a jungle view bathroom.
The studio has a white leather sofa, wifi, cable, smart TV with a database full of 100's of movies and music for your entertainment and a pool table.

Within walking distance there's the beaches, shops, restaurants, bars, convenience stores and a fresh fish, fruit, flowers and Thai food traditional market on the doorstep.
It is very easy to get around with the many public buses, taxis or just hire a car or motorbike. The busier beaches like Chaweng are just 10 minutes away.
Please note the ceiling beams in the studio are 5 ft 9 approx and so the space is more suited to smaller guests.
Interaction with Guests
I am very happy to welcome the guests into the home and give a thorough breakdown of whats on offer on the island as well as pointing out the best places to eat and drink. I'm happy to arrange trips and transport and will always be available to help the guests at anytime, ensuring the best possible holiday experience.
The area is one of the most sought after, exclusive and affluent spots on the island favored highly by local expats living here due to it s proximity to everything and yet quiet and quaint village feel.
Within 150 meters there are some lovely quiet bars, restaurants, cafe's, 7-11 convenience stores as well as a typical Thai style fresh fish, meat, flowers, fruit and food market open ever day.
Bangrak and Big Buddha beaches are just 5 minutes walk. Fisherman's Village and Cheong Mon beaches are just 7 minutes by taxi and Chaweng beach about 12 minutes.
There is a myriad of public transport right on the doorstep and I'd be more than happy to arrange car or motorbike hire for your stay if required.
Electricity is chargeable at cost on departure.
The place was ok. I did not read the advertisement thoroughly enough to realize that electricity bill comes separately. We rarely turned on the AC, and were surprised of the amount of the bill. Just make sure you check the meter BEFORE and AFTER to keep tract of your electricity usage. We wished we did.
We will not recommend this place due to our encounters with the villa's manager (Graham). It was nice of him to meet us at the villa and gave us a map of Koh Samui. Then, he went on to sell us a tour package for 2000 bahts/each, which we found much cheaper tours at one of the agencies down the street. We did not book with Graham, of course.
Another down point is that we were told to leave by 10AM, because they need to clean the place in order have the next guest by 12ish. Never felt so rush with the check out time in my life. He also told us to bring our trash out. The only thing he didn't say is to clean the place up.
Finally, Graham asked if anything broken numerous of times, even though, we told him "no" the 1st time. He even said that he'll return after 10AM to check and that he'll call Dennis (owner) to subtract it out from our "security deposit" if there's anything broken. Little did he know, there isn't such deposit. This seems like he accused us of lying of some sort. Very unprofessional.
Another point, you can get a local taxi transfer to and from airport for 200-250 baht each way easily. Do not ask them to book for your because they will charge your 500/transfer baht instead.
I am ever so sorry that you stand out as the only person to have disliked your stay in this spectacular studio. As with everything in life we can never please everyone.
To answer your points:
It is clearly advertised on our listing and on your itinerary receipt that electricity is charged at cost on departure. By doing so we can offer a keenly priced rental rate. For those guests that chose to use a lot of air-conditioning they can pay for it. On your arrival you were also notified of this by Graham and he invited you to look at the meter reading which you declined. Your electric bill for your 4 night stay including your use of aircon was a mere 210 baht, approx $6 or $1.50 per day. So I fail to see your complaint.
With 10 years experience on the island of Samui Graham and I only recommend the best tours with the best companies and flawless safety records where 100’s of our guests have all enjoyed the best days of their lives speed boating around the archipelago of the phenomenally breathtakingly beautiful Angthong National Marine Park. They take you into the inside of the old volcano with an emerald lake full of tropical fish, stop at various viewpoints including snorkeling with the fish, a private island stop for eat all you can seafood and chicken lunch and an afternoon on a private beach with free kayaking through the limestone caves.
Your find of another company that does this for 1500 baht transports you by minibus 30 minutes to the ferry port on the other side of the island. You then depart on a large old slow boat with approx 120 other guests. It is not able to do any of the things the speedboat trip offers and you have your meal on the boat.
We clearly advertise booking out at 10 am as is the norm for most accommodations. This is also printed on your itinerary receipt. This gives us time to clean the room in time for the next guests arriving at 12 noon which is the booking in time. So any rush was of your own making by not respecting the rules.
YOU asked Graham what to do with your trash and he simply asked you to take it out of the studio and leave it at the door for the cleaner to take away.
He asked you if anything was broken as would any vacation rental home and he had to check the contents to ensure all was well for the next incoming guest. We did recently have a shy guest unable to say they broke the kettle which is no problem but we would rather know and fix it before the new guests as its only 299 baht.
There is a £100 security deposit agreed to on your booking which is not taken from your card unless we as hosts make a claim within 48 hrs.
If you get your own taxi FROM the airport counter on arrival the price is 400 baht and this is mafia driven unlike Bangkok meter cabs. We charge 500 baht for your own private taxi minibus to wait for you bearing in mind quite often there can be delays to flights. Your 500 baht goes to the taxi and we make nothing on this but offer this service to make things easier for you.
Taking a taxi from the street outside the house going to the airport then you can arrange a fare of 250-300 baht and we welcome all our guests to do so if they wish or we again arrange our private taxi to the airport which most guests appreciate and are happy to pay for the service.
As you can see from my profile I have attained a “Superhost” status only given to the very highest achievers in the Airbnb family. You can also see from the 84 reviews I have received in 18 months with Airbnb that you stand alone as the only person who did not have a wonderful time. That is very regrettable as we always wish everyone the very best for their vacation.
We felt very welcomed by our host although he wasn't in the country. Dennis responded to our questions quickly and helped us with small problems.
The location is excellent and it's easy to get around by foot. We also rented his scooter for a reasonable price.
The internet works quickly and there is a fine collection of movies to view.
All in all, it was a great place to stay.
The place was spic and span and had everything we needed - also situated in a nice spot of samui. It is excellent value for the $
I didn't get to meet Dennis in person as he was in the UK but his friend Graham welcomed us to the apartment and spent about an hour showing us how everything worked and pointing out some good places to visit and eat on the map that was provided. The apartment is exactly as described - no weird surprises and was so close to everything. Tons of shops and cafes and right near the famous Big Buddha. It's a bright clean space for a travelling couple of single person who wants to be close to the sea and shops but just off the main road enough to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. I was actually surprised at how quiet the apartment was considering you're about 10 steps from the main road. Such a convenient location - we found it really easy to get to places on foot but for there were also mopeds to rent at a very good price too.
Dennis also has an epic collection of movies on the smart TV - we had some fab movie nights in when the weather was icky.
Superbe studio, beau volume, très bien placé, location idéale pour un couple !!! Dennis est adorable, très serviable... En gros, n'hésitez pas c'est le TOP ...
Great and big apartment for a good price! Nice and more quiet part of the island Koh Samui.
Dennis is the perfect host. He will take good care of you!
This was our very fist experience with airbnb and it was perfect for us. Dennis organized a pick-up from the airport and and welcomed us in the studio which is good located if you don't like to stay in the crow of chaweng. (Close to the airport, the ferry, the fisherman's village and also chaweng). dennis was very helpful with recommendations around the area. the studio was very clean and nice an it looks the same like the pictures do. the communication with dennis is also easy and very fast. he even provided us drinking water and you can hire motorbikes from him. This makes it very easy going to the nicer beaches or wherever you like. if we ever go back to koh samui again, it would be the place to stay for us.
