Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
You’ll love this casita, a relaxing peaceful setting close to many tourist attractions in Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico. It makes a great base to launch from for Chaco Canyon NM, Mesa Verde National Monument, The Bisti Badlands, Purgatory Ski resort and amazing quality waters fishing on the San Juan River.

The space
You will be enthralled by the view of ancient trees off the back porch. There are usually several deer meandering around the property. Sit comfortably and sip a cup of coffee as the sun rises and a nice beverage in the evening as it sets. Breath deep of the fresh river bottom air. Be still.

We are at the end of a quiet country lane. We have lived here for 26 years and Lord willing plan on staying here. Every time we look at other spots the answer is the same, “nope”! We are fans of the River Valley!

My husband and I were married in 1980, have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren, 2 yellow labs and a few kitties that roam the property and keep our homes free of unwanted guests. Our children and grandchildren are an incredible blessing and joy. My husband is a pastor, Sheriff's chaplain, and high school history teacher. I have organized and led multiple relief and development trips to the refugee camps along the Thai-Burma border, as well as several disaster relief trips with Samaritan's Purse. We both love traveling, reading, hiking, the outdoors. I have a special passion for the oppressed people's of the world and want to see others catch a vision for how their lives and acts of compassion, no matter how small, can radically impact the lives of others.
