Interaction with Guests
I will not be around to keep you company, give guided tours etc. You are all on your own!
Just a few minutes walk outside the absolute central of Oslo, in the southern part of St. Hanshaugen is where the apartment is located. Securely surrounded by government buildings and the appellate court there are usually security personal patrolling in the area and cameras watching over the neighborhood.
Very good access to the subway, the buses and the trams, all are within a few minutes of walking distance. Go skiing in Holmenkollen in the winter and go swimming in the Oslo fjord in the summer.
Other Things to Note
Sometimes I won't be able to meet you in person. In these cases I use the central train station as a key drop off point, where they have lockers protected with pass codes. Please note that you might be asked to drop the key of here as well if I'm not around and another guest is coming for a stay when you leave.
A FEW SIMPLE RULES:
No guests please.
No smoking inside. For smoking, you can just go outside, either by the street or on the inner yard.
Please act respectfully and don't disturb the neighbors. I haven't had a single complaint during my four years of living here and I intend to keep it that way. You're welcome to play music, but don't do it at 02.00 a.m.
Leave the apartment as you found it. I will make sure it's clean and fresh when you arrive, please leave it clean and fresh for me to come home to as well. No cleaning fees as you will take care of the cleaning yourself (but leave the laundry to me).
The apartment is on excellent location. Small but very functional and welcoming. The children 8 and 10 years old slept comfortably on the sofa. The apartment has everything is needed, is well equipped ( the only complain is the absence of hair dryer). The noise from the street was disturbing only during the weekend.
Joachim is very fast smattering the messages and helpful when needed.
Great place with a nice location. The place is small but wonderful and in an uber central location. Joacim was very helpful in terms of communicating even though he was at a distance.
Joacim's place is very central so everything we needed was just a short walk away.
The place looks exactly like depicted. We were grateful for the possibility to use his small kitchen for our cooking--it had everything essential and it saved us a lot of time and money. The bed was comfy but my two friends who stayed on the sofa (the purple one) said it wasn't very comfortable because there was a bar right through the middle of it (lengthwise). The sofa was, however, big enough to fit two people but perhaps not the best choice for those who enjoy snuggling :). The shower was nice, good pressure, enough hot water for the four of us and as we were on a longer trip to elsewhere, we were delighted to be able to use the washing machine
All in all, the place, although small, was big enough for the four of us to have a lovely cosy weekend in Oslo. Even though Joacim was not around that weekend, he was easy to reach and we felt safe and looked after :). I'd stay there again if I was to visit Oslo and recommend it to my friends.
Wonderful, cozy studio apartment in a location that was incredibly convenient to everything. Easy walk to sights and to great restaurants/nightlife. Shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure, the kitchenette had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Check-in/Check-out was easy. The apartment was clean and felt very safe/secure. Highly recommended!
The apartment was really cozy and is exactly like how it was depicted in the pictures. The location of the apartment was excellent- walking distance to all the popular tourist attractions. The apartment was really clean and everything was functional. Joaccim wasn't around but he gave clear instructions on how to get to the apartment and how to get the keys. Will definitely stay here again when I go to oslo next time!
The best part of this apartment is its location. You can walk down to most important places of interest. The apartment itself is beautiful and well appointed. What I liked were the facilities offered and the high speed broadband. Joacim was extremely helpful in guiding us during our trip.
About the Host, Joacim
A Swede working in Norway a few days a week. The days I'm "home" in Sweden I stay in my house with my family outside of Trollhättan, where the car Saab once was built. Four kids, two cats, one dog and one girlfriend to look after :-)
