About this listing
Gorgeous and sunny condo in Noe Valley. Beautiful views of the city. Gourmet kitchen, terrace w barbecue grill, and wood burning fireplace. A great place to come home! Walking distance to great restaurants, cafes and public transit.
Natural light floods into nearly every corner! This 3 bedroom condo is a great place to stay in San Francisco. The sun drenched terrace provides amazing views and is truly a unique highlight. Guests can enjoy exclusive access to main living areas, without having to pay the premium of "entire home/apt". Noe Valley is one of the sunniest areas in San Francisco. The home is just a few minutes walking distance from public transit (J-Line Muni).
Situated within easy walking distance of all the great shops, restaurants and bars on 24th Street, as well as Valencia Street and Mission.
The house was constructed in 2003 and has modern amenities. The condo is on the upper half of the building, so you will need to go up one flight of stairs to reach the unit (about 15 stairs till a small landing, then about 10 stairs).
The guest rooms, private bathroom, living room (including wood burning fireplace), dining room, and half bathroom are all located on the main floor. The kitchen is fitted with gourmet appliances, including a double oven, 2 sinks, dishwasher. Washer and dryer are also available at your convenience (includes iron and ironing board, which is on the wall). A small desk with a printer is located by the bedrooms for any office or quick printing needs.
There are 3 bedrooms in total available (please note the summary table that says 1 bedroom is incorrect, unfortunately AirBnB is unable to correct this).
The first guest bedroom is located in quiet area towards the back of the apartment. A large closet and dresser are fully available for guests, and the room has a queen size bed (152.4cm x 203.2cm). The second bedroom has a king size bed (200cm X 190.5cm), which is also furnished with thick mattress toppers for extra comfort. If preferred, I can arrange 2 twin size mattresses (99.1cm x 190.5cm) instead, just let me know your preference. The third guest bedroom is a smaller room in the middle of the unit, and has two entrances - one to the guest wing, and the other door opens to the living room. The bed is a full (double) size high quality futon (137.2cm x 190.5cm) which can be kept in either sofa or bed style. This bed includes a thick 3" mattress topper for extra comfort, so it feels just like a regular comfy bed!
The bedrooms share a full size bathroom (toilet has separate door, shower/tub). A half bathroom (toilet/sink) is located just by the living room.
The sofa in the living room has a full (double) size sleeper mattress (137.2cm x 190.5cm), and can accommodate an additional 2 persons.
I only book the place to one set of guests at a time. Hence, if you are two persons, you will have exclusive access to the other rooms and there will not be any other guests who access the place during your stay.
Full access to terrace with grill, living room including fireplace, gourmet kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. This place should be considered as close as possible to a private apartment.
Interaction with Guests
I live in the upstairs part of the condo (the entrance and stairs are shared), and may use the kitchen on rare occasion (if you wish to use it exclusively, it's not a problem, just let me know). I am available for any questions about the condo or things to do in San Francisco.
The neighborhood is just a few minutes from the 24th street shops and cafes, as well as the lively Mission district.
Public transport is very close by and you can easily reach downtown, piers, etc.
3 minute walk to/from muni (J line), which goes downtown to all major areas (Moscone Center, Ferry Building, Embarcadero, etc.). Bus lines 24 (goes down Divisadero), 14 (goes down Mission), 27, 49, and 12 are close by, as well as BART on 24th and Mission. Short walk to the Mission district bars and restaurants, Easy access to highways 101 South and 280 south, 15 minutes from SFO.
Other Things to Note
Parking: There is ample street parking, especially compared to other neighborhoods in SF. Parking permits are required on weekdays between 10am and 6pm if you park longer than 2 hours. I can provide a guest parking permit during your stay but require that this be returned as part of the checkout. Please let me know in advance if you think you will need a permit.
Please keep the noise down after 11pm. No parties. If you would like to invite guests, please let me know in advance.
Barbara was a wonderful host! She let us check in early, and greeted us with wine when we met. The house was beautiful...had 5 girls staying, and there was more than enough room. Beds were very comfortable. The roof top terrace was beautiful, and Barbara even had blankets ready to go on those chilly nights. Location was great...15 minute drive from the airport, 10 minute drive to Mission District, and 20-30 minute drive to Fisherman's Wharf (depending on traffic/time of day). We took an Uber everywhere...super cheap (never more than $20-30 dollars to get anywhere). Even though Barbara lived in the upstairs bedroom while we were there, we barely ever had any run-ins. Mainly just shared an entrance. Thanks again for the wonderful stay!
Our first Airbnb experience was wonderful. Barbara, our host was the perfect combination of welcoming and unobtrusive. My family of 5 made ourselves very comfortable at her gorgeous home in San Fran. The neighborhood was quiet and close to public transportation, markets and restaurants. We loved lounging on the roof top deck after a long day of walking through the city! I highly recommend this space for anyone who wants experience the homey side of San Fran.
Nice house perfectly situated (for our taste), clean, calm, conveniently close to the tramway to go downtown. Very accommodating and nice hostess. A great experience for 4 days in SF.
What a wonderful experience - our very first stay with AirBnB and it was a complete success. Pre-arrival communication was great and we felt so welcome even before we arrived. The location was very convenient for downtown San Francisco (20 minutes on a tram) and we appreciated being able to come back to safe, vibrant neighbourhood. The apartment was beautiful and had everything we needed for a family (including lots of space when we all awoke at 2am with jet lag). Barbara was incredibly thoughtful and even produced a picnic blanket when we went to the park. It was ideal having her just upstairs as we had advantage of privacy but local knowledge on hand when we needed it. We can not recommend Barbara's apartment highly enough and hope to be able to return again.
Our stay at Barbara's was amazing. Everything is as its explained and she works hard to make sure her guest have everything they need to have a lovely stay. The apartment is well located, super clean and has an amazing terrace.
My friends and I stayed at Barbara's place and we had a really nice stay. Our beds were super comfortable, and the place was really beautiful and clean. Our host was friendly, although we barely saw her while we were there since we were out wandering the town all day! The area is perfect, as it was quiet and safe with easy access to public transit. What a nice spot! I totally recommend staying here.
We stayed at Barbara's beautiful home on a Friday night and it exceeded our expectations. Barbara does live upstairs but she never once did we feel awkward or felt as if we didn't have privacy. Barbara is a wonderful host and the sweetest person I have ever met. The rooftop terrace is nice and cozy but it can get a little cold. But Barbara has nice warm blankets ready for those nights. The beds are super comfortable and the place is well lit and very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking a nights refuge in sf
