The home has a beautiful and functional kitchen. I also have an impressive collection of American and Southwestern Art as well as Cavalry memorabilia.. In the front room is a display of both "Dia de Los Muertos" and Hopi/Apache artifacts. A portion of the home as been converted to be a replica of the old Pueblo Chapels that were common place from the 16th-19th centuries. There is a private trail on the property where guests are welcome to pray, meditate, sing, or just enjoy the view of Jerome to the West.
The Montezuma Well National Monument is walking distance from the home and is a great place for a picnic or to cool your feet in Beaver Creek.
There is a Steak House, Bistro, and Bar & Grill within a mile from the home.

I Love to tell stories about the history of the Southwest.
The neighborhood has much Hollywood and "Mobster" lore
Rob had many interesting stories to tell and his home was full of quirky, interesting things to see. He had great suggestions on where to go and what to see.
For larger parties that may be considering staying here, the listing isn't exactly accurate. There are two single beds in one room. We only had two people so it wasn't a huge problem but there's no way that four people could comfortably stay here.
Roberts place is like a little treasure chest in itself. Sadly we only had about 18 hours at Robs and we got there pretty late and left the following lunchtime. Rob is lovely and very helpful with a few jobs we needed sorting .. His knowledge of Arizona and the US is great and has a few interesting stories of his own.. If you have a car then this little place in the country is perfect..! Recommend!
We had a great time at Rob's.
Lovely comfy room in a beautiful home.
Very gracious to let us have free range of the kitchen. Loved hanging out there with you at the end of the day. You have amazing tales to share. Gary too...and man can you cook. That carrot cake was excellent! Thanks guys. Hated to leave
I'm in total concurrence with the other reviewers. Yes, Rob is a wonderful host, extremely knowledgeable, and a little crazy in a good way. It seems it would be remiss not to say, " how beautiful both he and Gary are." The time spent with them will always hold a place in my heart.
We loved our stay with Robert when we visited Arizona in January. If you're looking for peace and quiet and a comfortable place to stay, this is it. We were only about 15 minutes away from Sedona and just down the street from Montezuma's Well. Robert was an excellent host and a great conversationalist. He can give you any information you would need for the area as far as places to see or hike. We would definitely consider coming and staying here again! :)
Rob's setting is tranquil and serene and a wonderful place to venture out for great hikes or explorations in that part of the Verde Valley. He is an interesting and thoughtful person and host. The patio area in the front yard makes for a great sunset glass of wine and the beautiful, large gas fireplace feels great to cozy up to with a book in the evening. The only thing I'd be remiss in not mentioning is that if you are traveling as a couple, be aware that one of you will be on a leaky air mattress on the floor, or else really cuddly in a twin bed! We made do just fine and had a great visit with Rob, his dad, Mario, dog Sheila and various other visiting critters!
Robert is one of the sightseeings of arizona! His house is a museum and his energy together with his friend jerry is like watching a movie..
See you next time rob!
To make a long story short, Robert was a great host in a great home at a great location.
Two friends and I stayed with Robert for three days in late 2013. Robert was a helpful and informative host who drew hiking maps for us to follow and suggested off-the-beaten-path sights for us to see. The house is roughly 30 minutes outside of Sedona by car, but if you make that drive during the day it is some of the prettiest terrain in the area. This was my best Airbnb experience to date and Robert had a lot to do with that.
Rob is such a cool dude! My aunt and I stayed the night and visited Sedona the next day. Rob helped us out by writing down some scenic directions to get to Sedona (it was gorgeous). Rob, my aunt, and I had a lot to talk about. The room was well kept and Rob had a heater on for us too. A wonderful experience! Will definitely stay with Rob the next time I am in Arizona.
very short stay, but Robert was very friendly and open to share the many incredible stories of his family and experiences. beautiful house, highly recommended!
