The home has a beautiful and functional kitchen. I also have an impressive collection of American and Southwestern Art as well as Cavalry memorabilia.. In the front room is a display of both "Dia de Los Muertos" and Hopi/Apache artifacts. A portion of the home as been converted to be a replica of the old Pueblo Chapels that were common place from the 16th-19th centuries. There is a private trail on the property where guests are welcome to pray, meditate, sing, or just enjoy the view of Jerome to the West.
The Montezuma Well National Monument is walking distance from the home and is a great place for a picnic or to cool your feet in Beaver Creek.

I Love to tell stories.
The neighborhood has much Hollywood and "Mobster" lore
We loved our stay with Robert when we visited Arizona in January. If you're looking for peace and quiet and a comfortable place to stay, this is it. We were only about 15 minutes away from Sedona and just down the street from Montezuma's Well. Robert was an excellent host and a great conversationalist. He can give you any information you would need for the area as far as places to see or hike. We would definitely consider coming and staying here again! :)
Robert is one of the sightseeings of arizona! His house is a museum and his energy together with his friend jerry is like watching a movie..
See you next time rob!
To make a long story short, Robert was a great host in a great home at a great location.
Two friends and I stayed with Robert for three days in late 2013. Robert was a helpful and informative host who drew hiking maps for us to follow and suggested off-the-beaten-path sights for us to see. The house is roughly 30 minutes outside of Sedona by car, but if you make that drive during the day it is some of the prettiest terrain in the area. This was my best Airbnb experience to date and Robert had a lot to do with that.
Rob is such a cool dude! My aunt and I stayed the night and visited Sedona the next day. Rob helped us out by writing down some scenic directions to get to Sedona (it was gorgeous). Rob, my aunt, and I had a lot to talk about. The room was well kept and Rob had a heater on for us too. A wonderful experience! Will definitely stay with Rob the next time I am in Arizona.
very short stay, but Robert was very friendly and open to share the many incredible stories of his family and experiences. beautiful house, highly recommended!
Wow, this was quite a stay! Rob was more than hospitable, even called us to ask what kind of juice we prefer before we arrived. His house (more like a museum/gallery!) is amazing, full of history and beauty. Rob is an expert on many things and made for a fantastic entertainment source and tour guide. We stayed up all night under the stars listening to his many stories, learning loads about the native people of the area and about American history. He gave us a really great day-loop of the area, maps and pictures included, which turned out to be one of our best days so far on the trip. Highly recommend you ask about it. Beds were really comfy and we had plenty of privacy. If you're needing someone to have a good ol' chin-wag with then this is definitely your stop.
Robert was kind, honest, and knowledgeable. We hit it off immediately talking about music and many other things. His juke box was awesome and he has a great selection of vinyls. He also gave be advice about unknown places to see in northern Arizona that I never would have visited. Great experience overall.
What a fantastic host! I was very grateful for his knowledge of the area, his directions and guidance on the washout that would have made me extremely late. The room was clean and comfortable and I felt right at home. I look forward to another stay when I come back to the area!
My friend and I had a one-night stay with Rob. Really cool guy and and a really cool place. Loved it! It's close to the 17 and in a good location to go explore Sedona and other areas. Great wildlife that comes right up to his backyard. It looked like some good trails behind his house but we didn't have time to go exploring.
Robert's place was nothing short of awesome, I needed a place last minute and he was able to help me out with directions and accommodations, even though I was showing up kind of late :-)
The place is really sweet, easy to get to off of the main scenic highway near Oak Creek, although isolated enough for supreme privacy and a silent sleeping experience.
His place is a bit of a museum, he has some amazing stuff, worth the time to check out.
I slept super soundly in my bedroom and enjoyed my own private bathroom space that had a nice skylight in the morning.
He even hooked up a small heater for me near the bed just in case (it actually wasn't needed but so sweet).
The best part of all was his hospitality. Rob is a genuine and caring human being, great story teller and great listener. That was clear from the moment I walked in.
He cooked me eggs in the morning that were from his happy little chickens just outside! There was a baby one, incredibly cute!
The dog, btw, uber sweet and all about loving.
You would be doing yourself a favor by staying with Robert, it is a wonderful respite from just about anywhere else in the world.
