With pristine mountain views, you'll enjoy a warm and inviting stay curated with custom & vintage pieces, original art, & luxurious amenities, while being steps from the beach, hiking trails, shops, restaurants, & just a short drive from the ski hill. Slow down, reconnect, & be inspired by the unique beauty of this ancient fjord.

The space
Completely separate from the main house with its own private access and parking on a charming resident-only lane, the carriage house has been designed by NY and Vancouver based Earth To People Studio, harkening back to the storied summer cabins of Deep Cove. Open up the massive sliding doors to stunning mountain views, less than a block from the ocean and only two short blocks from the main shops and restaurants. The epitome of a coastal getaway, the open-concept, single story carriage house enjoys tall vaulted cielings and emphasizes a decidedly ‘west coast’ material palette, featuring exposed beams, salvaged fir, tongue and groove cedar walls, home-made batches of coffee stain to give the old rough-cut wood new life, and new signature furniture and sculptural pieces designed specifically for the space. For rest, slip into a brand new spacious king-sized bed complemented with organic pillows and duvet, linen sheets, and a custom fir bed frame.

Bathroom
The well-stocked bathroom features a vintage cast-iron soaker tub and sink, meticulously restored, and custom exposed copper piping throughout. Soaps, conditioners, and creams are complimentary and meant to help you unwind, so enjoy as needed.

Living Room
There’s a smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and more, plus high speed wifi to help you stay connected.

Kitchen
The kitchen is open-concept and well-stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, a french press, tea pot, utensils, glasses, salt&pepper, and has a beautiful Smeg fridge, new Forno electric range, dishwasher, and microwave. Dishwasher pods are located in a labelled glass jar in the basket below the east kitchen counter, along with extra garbage bags. You're also welcome to help yourself to the curated assortments of teas or organic oatmeal found in the same location, and any complimentary items in the fridge (San Pellegrino, etc). Coffee can be found on the little counter to the left of the stove, and one small metal baking sheet can be found in the oven.

Laundry
The carriage house also features a brand new washer and dryer, with complimentary laundry detergent strips - making it ideal for short or longer stays. In the laundry closet, you’ll find extra towels, sheets, toilet paper, paper towels, and a hair dryer that you can use.

Guest access
The carriage house is located on its own private lane and has a fully private entrance with large sliding glass doors and a coded non-key lock.

Parking
We have parking room for two smaller cars/suvs tandem or one larger vehicle. If you need to park two larger vehicles, there is a mix of free and paid street parking on many streets nearby.

Other things to note
Our parking space isn't suitable for campers or RVs.
