Comfy 2 Bedroom House Rules & Information
Important General Information:
1) Please do not ever leave any windows open without ensuring that the
screens are in place and completely sealing all openings. Because of Queen's borough bridge being located so close, there are many mosquitoes flying around and if you leave any window open, you will be bit!
2) Air conditioners are located in each bedroom. Feel free to turn them on but please turn them off when you are not home. Please do not have any windows open when you have the AC turned on, care for the environment =)
3) Heaters are automatically set in each room to heat during the winter. I suggest cracking a window rather than playing with heater knobs as New York heaters are quite fickle.
3) Please do not ever leave the apartment without a key, the door will automatically lock behind you.
9) Please do not smoke inside the house! If you would like to smoke please use the fire escape.
Big bedroom/living room:
1) Roku: As an alternative to cable, I use the (email hidden) strem service through Amazon.
To use Roku:
1)Turn on the tv.
2)If the screen shows a Roku logo, the Roku is read to use and just needs to be awoken through its remote.
3)If the Roku logo is not on then you simply need to change the video output to the Roku HDMI.
Once on Roku you can watch unlimited movies on Netflix, unlimited tv on Hulu, and the weather and news from the Roku Newscaster. There are also a few games like Angry Birds that are fun to play!
2) The blinds should only be lifted and lowered while they are open or they will jam and become tangled.
3)The coffee table and sofabed are on runners so they maybe be easily moved around. To open the sofabed into a sleeping position, pull the entire couch forward and then pull the back of the couch forward to release it from its laches. Then gently lay it back until it is a bed.
4)The surge charger between the bed and the couch control the wifi. If the wifi ever goes out, push the red button into the off position and then turn it back on after waiting a few moments. This rarely happens but its good to know!
1)The lamps on both side of the bed are controlled by a switch on the surge adapter underneath the nightstand. Feel free to use this as a charger as well.
2)The laptop is set to a guest account. Feel free to print anything you like on the printer.
1)The tub uses the metal pipe next located next to it to control the level of the water- like a drain plug. If the water seems to be rising it means the metal pipe has been closed. Make sure its not plugged to keep the bath tube from filling. Otherwise, feel free to close it for a nice bath!
2)There is toilet paper on the shelf opposite side of the mirror.
1)Feel free to use all my cooking utensils.
2)The coffee in the kitchen is for you! If the coffee maker is not on, the switch needs to be flipped in the back. Then just pop a coffee cup in and choose your size.
3)The fridge is empty and the water pitcher has a fresh filter. Please feel free to make yourself at home.
4)There are two vacuums powered by lithium batteries. Feel free to use them if you need them.
5)If you ever smell gas in the kitchen it simply means the stove's pilot light is out. Simply lift the lid of the stove and relight the pilot light with the matches in the drawer closest to the stove.
6)If you need to throw out the garbage, the garbage room is in the middle of the main staircase hallway- Recycling goes in the back bin and garbage in the front. Extra garbage bags are located at the bottom of each trashcan in the house.
7)I keep extra toiletries and medical supplies in the cabinet above the sink. Feel free to use them!
8)There are also cleaning supplies under the sink- again only if you need them, as your cleaning fee covers both before and after your trip.
