Our 128 sq ft tiny house is located on a nonprofit permaculture farm and tiny house community that's only 10 minutes away from downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill.

I wanted to create a space where guests can take time to reset and reconnect with what's important. The house is cozy, stylish, well-appointed and surprisingly spacious. Take a step outside and you'll be surrounded by ponds, garden beds, and the soothing sounds of nature that make life here so peaceful

**COVID-19 Update: As a superhost, the safety and comfort of my guests is my main priority. I have been following the CDC's protocols for cleaning/disinfecting a space, and want to reassure guests that I will be very thorough in cleaning and preparing the house for you. I also have a flexible cancellation policy to accommodate changing circumstances.

I'm also offering a 10% discount to healthcare/relief workers and first responders working directly with COVID-19 patients.

To create a tiny house that has all the functionality of a normal house requires careful design. We utilized all 128 square feet to create an awesome little tiny home that's elegant in both form and function.

The house contains a few distinct 'rooms'. The first space when you enter the house is the living room, where you can relax on the futon and watch the DVD and Roku-equipped TV on the opposite wall. Guests can enjoy the growing book and movie collection shelved above the TV.

Built into the back wall is a large bay window that pours light into the house and has a built in desk that offers a perfect work space with a view of the trellised gardens.

Walking towards the back of the house, you'll enter into the kitchen with butcher-block counters and open shelving. As an avid cook myself, I do my best to provide guests with everything they would need to prepare meals. The kitchen is equipped with induction cooktops, convection oven, blender, food processor, quality pots and pans, new knives, and utensils. A large collection of spices and oils are also at your disposal. For coffee lovers, a Cuisinart coffee maker and espresso machine help you to prepare a quality cup of your liking. Guests can grab from a basket containing a variety of gourmet snacks. We’ve also stocked the fridge with condiments, almond milk, seltzer water, butter, jam, etc :)

Adjacent to the kitchen is the bathroom. The shower has plenty of hot water and good pressure. The toilet is an easy-to-use compost-type toilet (no unpleasant smell!). A variety of quality toiletries is provided for guests, as well as a hair dryer and soft, plush towels.

Finally, up the sliding library-style ladder, is the delightfully cozy nook of a bedroom. You'll feel like you're tucked away in your own little world. A couple of floor lanterns provide warm lighting, and you can open the small window in the loft to let in fresh air and the sounds of nature.

In the evenings, strings of patio lights create a warm and romantic ambience around the picnic table area outside. Or you can turn them off and enjoy the vivid starry nights out here. Guests are also welcome to use the propane grill and the firepit just a few steps away!

I have almost 4 years of experience with Airbnb as a Superhost and take pride in being the best host possible. Whether you come for the experience of staying in a tiny house, a romantic getaway, or just for a cozy place to lay your head, I'll do my best to make sure you have a perfect stay. Everyone is welcome here :)

*** Pet Policy: I unfortunately can't allow cats because of allergies but I do allow dogs. The fee is $20 per dog per night and can be paid in person. Dogs must be leashed when walking around the property and are not allowed in the loft/bed.

Where you’ll be

Chapel Hill, North Carolina, United States

There is a lot to explore in this area, but notable attractions in the immediate area are:
-Honeysuckle Tea House, serving up teas grown on-site, baked goods, smoothies and occasionally some live music (now open for the season!)
-Maple View Farm and Dairy (a local fave for fresh ice cream)
-Pickards Mountain Eco-Institute
-Keith Arboretum: one of the largest collections of woody plants east of the Mississippi

Beyond our immediate neighborhood, there is so much fun stuff to do and see. I've been in the area for a few years now, and have written a comprehensive guide including restaurants, hikes, museums, and other awesome stuff worth checking out! I promise you won't be bored :)

I'm a tiny-house builder, gardener, traveler and cook. After traveling to 35+ countries after graduating, my travel itch was satisfied and I decided it was time to settle down. Along with my father, I spent 8 long months building a tiny house from scratch. I loved the time that I spent living in it, but I also love giving people the opportunity to experience tiny house living for themselves through Airbnb. When I'm not working on the farm, I spend most of my time in the kitchen cooking up all kinds of things or out in nature. I also take a significant amount of time each year to either participate or serve on meditation retreats, and embrace meditation and yoga as tools to open the heart and mind.

I live in a blue cabin that's only a few steps away from the house. I work onsite so I'm usually available to assist with anything that comes up and to offer tours of the farm. Come talk to me if you have any questions about the tiny houses, farm, or community! Otherwise I'll respect your privacy. Please feel free to call me for assistance/questions if I'm not available in person.
