Welcome to our private villa close to downtown Ubud, where style and luxury meet in the most breathtaking way. Our 3-bedroom retreat is perched on the edge of a lush tropical gorge, with a glass-bottomed pool, a treetop yoga deck, and a hidden bar for you to enjoy your favorite libations.

The space
Milliways Bali is the sister property of Haigha House (Best Villa to Book in Bali 2022 - The Condè Nast Traveller). Located just around the corner from Nyuh Kuning, one of Ubud's most famous villages, the 3-bedrooms villa is fully fitted with housekeeping services, and offers personalized services such as Home Spa, private yoga and personal trainer sessions, in-villa Dining, private driver/tour and many more.

THE BEDROOMS

~~Alula~~
The beautiful Alula features a comfortable double bed, a writing desk, a large wardrobe, and the most gorgeous hanging bathtub -- with a breathtaking view of the jungle and the gorge.

~~Brixia~~
Stylish and sexy Brixia is the largest bedroom in the villa, with direct access to the pool deck and the treetop-high glass-bottomed swimming pool. The bedroom also features a fitness/dancing pole, a large wardrobe, and a cozy reading nook. In Brixia's en-suite bathroom, there's also a large double walk-in shower.

~~Chaka~~
Octagonal-shaped Chaka takes you right in between the trees, it's almost as if you're in your very own stylish tree house. It has a double bed and a large, hanging reading nook, with a glass top -- for you to gaze up at the beautiful night sky while snuggling with your loved one.

The three bedrooms comfortably accommodate up to six guests. For larger groups, two additional beds can be arranged for an extra fee, while a complimentary baby cot (pack n play) is also available upon request.

THE COMMON SPACES
~~Lounge Area~~
Fair warning: the lounge has a way of turning "just one coffee" into an entire lost afternoon. Sink into the oversized, multi-angle sofa and pick your own adventure - let the 15-foot floor-to-ceiling windows frame the jungle, lose yourself in a series on the 60-inch Smart TV, vanish into a book from the wall of shelves, or simply stare at the pool and let time do its thing. This is your space to do absolutely nothing, or absolutely everything.

And here's the twist: that glass-bottomed pool overhead isn't just for swimming - it sits directly above the lounge, so sunlight ripples through the water and dances across the room below.

~~Private Speakeasy~~
Tucked behind a quiet corner of Milliways Bali, a hidden speakeasy waits for the evening hours. Sink into tufted leather seating, or slip out to the private balcony and let the night air do the rest. Tell us your favourite drinks before you arrive, and we'll stock the bar so everything is ready when you are.

~~Swimming Pool~~
High above the jungle gorge, our private infinity pool floats at treetop level, opening onto views that stretch uninterrupted across the canopy. Little ones get their own shallow corner to splash in, while the glass-bottom design turns heads as a showstopping feature, best appreciated from both above and below. Poolside, an oversized sun lounger and two beanbags set the scene for lazy afternoons that beg to be lingered over.

~~Yoga and Meditation Deck~~
Set among the trees and overlooking the pool deck, our yoga and meditation deck is a calm retreat for unhurried mornings, mindful movement, or quiet moments to yourself. As the light softens, the space settles into a relaxed corner for sunset drinks, easy conversation, and time with the people you love, all surrounded by the stillness of the jungle.

AROUND MILLIWAYS BALI
We are located close to the center of Ubud: around 8-minute walk to Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary or 4 minutes by car/bike. Within walking distance, you'll find plenty of restaurants (including vegan and vegetarian options), cafes and bistros, coworking space, daycare with children's playground and nanny service.

Ubud also draws people from around the world for its yoga, healing, and slow-living culture, and Milliways puts you right in the middle of it. Nearby wellness spots include:

- Movement Matters (reformer & mat Pilates) - 7-min walk

Please note that our Airbnb rate is fixed, and Promo/Non-Refundable Rates are available only for last-minute bookings (1 day before arrival), the last 3 available dates of the month, or during special promotions.

Guest access
The entire main villa is private to you. There is a service area/staff house at the back of the courtyard where our staff works and stays during the day, separated from the main villa, ensuring your privacy.

Other things to note
- Closer to your check-in date, our villa host/butler/concierge will contact you via WA at the numbers listed in your reservation to arrange for your check-in details. Please make sure that your number is correct and reachable.

- Milliways Bali is located behind a small Banjar (village). It is accessible by car and has on-site parking for one car and some motorbikes. However, the access road is quite narrow and can only hold one car (normal-sized, 6-seater van) at a time. Large-sized vans or mini buses such as Alphard, Elf, Hiace, or the like will not be able to pass the road.

- Living so close to the nature, we do have living creatures crisscrossing our paths every once so often. In the dawn you will see hundreds of dragonflies, but at night you might also encounter some geckos. You will also hear crickets (or see different types of insects), and sometimes fireflies are also spotted around. There's not a lot of mosquito here, but it's always good to keep mozzy repellent handy, you never know!

- Please note that while all the bedrooms in the villa are equipped with air conditioning units, the main areas, such as the living room, dining room, and kitchen, are designed with an open-plan, expansive layout and high ceilings. Due to the architectural design, these areas are not air-conditioned; instead, we have plenty of fans strategically placed in different spots. We also provide extra fans upon request to ensure a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

- No commercial filming is allowed at the premise without prior written agreement from the property owner. Commercial filming means the film, electronic, magnetic, digital, or other recording of a moving image by a person, business, or other entity for a market audience with the intent of generating income. Examples include, but are not limited to, feature film, revenue generating content creation, fashion photography, stock photography, and documentaries. Commercial filming may include the advertisement of a product or service, or the use of actors, models, sets, or props.

Any commercial filming at the property requires a signed written agreement and waiver, subject to Milliways Bali’s commercial shooting rate.
