The space
~~ Perfect for Group Travel ~~
Designed for families and groups, Haigha House offers three generous bedrooms that bring everyone together while still leaving room to retreat.
The master suite occupies its own peaceful wing, where a super king King Koil bed, walk-in wardrobe, and en-suite bathroom with a vintage copper bathtub create a calm place to begin and end each day. Beyond the room, a private balcony opens to uninterrupted views of Bali's volcanoes rising above the rice fields.
Across the villa, two private bedrooms share their own wing, opening onto a long timber deck overlooking the jungle and pool. One features a super king bed, the other a queen, both filled with natural light and cooled by air conditioning. A spacious shared bathroom, with separate shower and toilet, offers comfort and practicality for families or friends travelling together.
For larger groups, one additional extra bed can be arranged for an additional charge, allowing Haigha House to comfortably accommodate up to seven guests.
~~Fully-fitted Kitchen~~
Haigha House features a stunning, social kitchen with two oversized islands—ideal for guests who love to cook. With expansive counter space and an open view of the tropical jungle, it’s a dream setup for home cooks. Make your stay even more memorable by preparing your favorite meals and enjoying them with loved ones at our rustic dining table crafted from repurposed wood.
~~Chic, Secluded, and Private~~
Unlike most “private” villas in Ubud that sit within a shared compound, this loft stands on its own 1,250m² private estate—exclusively yours to enjoy. It’s beautifully surrounded by expansive rice fields, tropical jungle, and a gentle river.
~~Located in a tranquil part of Ubud~~
If you're hoping to skip Ubud's crowded, noisy, tourist-packed downtown, this is exactly the kind of place you're looking for. Tucked into a quiet little village 5km south of the famous Monkey Forest Sanctuary, the villa sits well away from the hustle and bustle. Here, you're surrounded by nature — rice fields, a little river, coconut trees, and views of three volcanoes. You'll hear crickets, little frogs, birdsong, and the occasional rustle from our resident bunnies hopping around the garden. And when night falls and the sky's clear, our poolside deck is the perfect spot for stargazing — sometimes the fireflies even join in.
~~Open Plan Living~~
The villa features a soaring 6-meter ceiling, an open, fluid layout, and a minimalist yet inviting design. With its blend of steel, concrete, glass, and rich wooden accents, it stands in stylish contrast to the classic Indonesian Joglo. If you love loft-inspired architecture with a touch of Indonesian character, this space will feel just right for you.
~~Gorgeous Jungle Pool~~
Wrapped in rice terraces and jungle green, the infinity pool is where the days find their own rhythm. Mornings start slow, with nothing but birdsong for company, while afternoons are made for a lazy swim, a bit of sun, or just sitting by the water with nowhere to be. Right off the pool, the wooden deck is your spot for yoga, meditation, or simply taking it all in — jungle views included.
The lounge is built around one seriously oversized couch, made for slow, easy living, with a shelf of good books to keep you company along the way. We've also got a private home-spa area with a proper massage table, and on-call therapists ready whenever you feel like treating yourself. Every corner here is designed with one goal: to help you slow down, recharge, and settle into your own pace.
~~Other extra perks~~
- In Villa Dining: Craving real Balinese home cooking instead of the usual tourist menu? Our in-house chef can whip up a home-style buffet dinner on request. It's a guest favorite - many end up ordering her meals again and again during their stay. Just let us know if you'd like this arranged.
- Wellness Sessions: Enjoy private wellness experiences without leaving the villa. From yoga and meditation sessions to Muay Thai and personal training on the lawn, each class is led by a certified instructor and can be arranged upon request.
- Large Lawn: Our spacious garden invites little ones to slow down, explore, and play. Home to two friendly free-roaming rabbits and a thoughtfully designed children's playground, it's a space where curious minds can wander and families can enjoy unhurried moments together beneath the Bali sun.
- Fully Staffed: A close-knit team works quietly behind the scenes to keep your stay easy. Your Villa Host is on hand for anything you need during the visit, while housekeeping, gardening, and pool maintenance handle the rest — so all that's left for you to do is settle in and enjoy Haigha House.
- Food Delivery: With Gojek's delivery service, you can order food from nearly any restaurant in Ubud and have it delivered straight to the villa, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing meal without leaving the villa.

Other things to note
RICE FIELDS CHANGE COLOURS
Our loft is surrounded by rice field, and framed by the river and jungle. We're also tucked and hidden in a small Balinese village, away from the tourist quarters of Ubud. Here's a few important things that you will need to know about the area:
The rice paddy is alive and breathing. It goes through different cycles where the landscape around you will change colours depending on the season.
At the early stage of its cycle, the landscape will be filled of muddy earth and you will see farmers ploughing the fields, often hemmed by dozens of white herons flying around.
Once all the land has been ploughed, paddy is planted, and water is streamed to the field. This is when the loft will look like it's surrounded by body of water.
Then the paddy starts to grow, and with its growth, come different colours. At the early stage of its growth, you will see bright green, then as it matures, the landscape will turn to golden, and then eventually dark brown.
The whole cycle usually lasts 3-4 months. So when you're staying at our loft, the view that you will see from your suite will change depending on the season.
SMOKE & FIRE
Following the harvest, the farmers clear the fields to prepare them for a new cycle. This is when the straws were burnt, and the smoke rises. The burning usually lasts for 2-3 hours and depending on where the wind may blow, this might cause inconvenience for the dwellers of our loft. This is however, a part of the reality in living so close to the nature, and we have prepared a blower in our loft in the case of our guests would like to use it to keep the smoke away.
INSECTS AND THEIR ALLIES
Living so close to the nature, we do have living creatures crisscrossing our paths every once so often. In the dawn you will see hundreds of dragonflies, but at night you might also encounter some geckos. You will also hear crickets (or see different types of insects), and sometimes fireflies are also spotted around. There's not a lot of mosquito here, but it's always good to keep mozzy repellent handy, you never know!
AIR CONDITIONING
Please note that while all the bedrooms in the villa are equipped with air conditioning units, the main areas, such as the living room, dining room, and kitchen, are designed with an open-plan, expansive layout and high ceilings. Due to the architectural design, these areas are not air-conditioned; instead, we have plenty of fans strategically placed in different spots. We also provide extra fans upon request to ensure a pleasant and enjoyable stay.
