Faye was a wonderful host. She provided us wih all our requests. the room islovely and spacious as is the large shower. Breakfast was beautiful with a traditional Irish and orange juice and berries to go. Small things make it such as the tea on arrival and the jug of water left in your room before bed. Lovely home and a particularly friendly cat .
We really enjoyed our stay with Faye. It was a beautiful clean house a stones throw from the picturesque Kenmare bridge. We had our own on suite shower and bathroom which was very clean. Faye prepared very nice breakfasts for us during our stay, even providing a vegetarian full Irish if they can exist. Extremely pleased with our choice and will stay there again. Thanks Faye!
Faye's house is exactly 12 minutes walk from Knmare, just like she said. We were made feel very welcome by Faye on arrival, complete with tea and freshly baked fruit loaf, which was exactly what the doctor ordered after our journey from Ennis. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and we were treated to a hearty breakfast the next morning, complete with the full Irish, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.
Faye was a great host, really helpful and couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was comfortable. The room was big, clean and perfectly placed for visiting Kenmare and the surrounding area. Would certainly recommend.
We loved our one night stay at Faye's lovely home! The room was large, heated nicely, and very comfortable. The large bed had a nice heavy comforter, perfect for me since it was so cold outside! The attached bathroom was clean and bright! Faye had towels waiting for us in the room.
When we arrived, we were greeted by Faye and her adorable son, and shown to our room. Faye offered me tea (which I gladly accepted) and brought to our room a teapot of fresh tea, sugar, milk, a pitcher of cold drinking water, and fresh baked fruit bread that she made that morning- what a treat!
One of my favorite things about this stay was Faye's beautiful cat. She was very friendly and loved to be petted. The kitty, Alegra I believe, hung out with us in our room until we went out to dinner.
The next morning, Faye prepared a full Irish breakfast, complete with the most delicious fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh baked brown bread! We stuffed ourselves on her excellent cooking before continuing on our way.
My husband and I recommend staying at Faye's to anyone coming through Kenmare. It's a very short drive (about 3 minutes) into the town center. Faye does everything she can to give you all the privacy you want and is a great host.
Faye guided us to her house after we took a wrong exit off a roundabout. When we arrived, she welcomed us with delicious tea, homemade tea cake, and a warm smile.
Our room was spacious and clean with a large, modern bathroom. The furnishings included plenty of drawers and a closet space for hanging items. The decor was tasteful and homey. Faye's location is a short walk from Kenmare's town center, which she accurately explains in her description. The walk is rural and scenic with gorgeous views. It felt safe and relaxing and added to the pleasure of our stay. Faye's breakfasts are superior and delicious! Fresh eggs, fresh squeezed OJ, home baked wheat bread, and other delicacies were served promptly at our agree upon times each morning. She was flexible and accommodating about our personal tastes. She also provided, at our request, helpful recommendations about restaurants and things to do and see. Faye seems to enjoy her hometown and her appreciation of it helped to open its sights to us. We found Faye to be a wonderful hostess and hope to visit her and Kenmare again!
For guests who want peace, quiet, natural beauty, and an experience of small-town Ireland, we recommend Faye's home and Kenmare.
Faye was a fantastic host! Very friendly and helpful! The room was definitely good value for the cost, toasty warm and nice bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and had lots of options. Lots of parking in front of the building. The house is in walkable distance to all the restaurants and bars in town. Definitely recommend! Thanks so much Faye!
