Faye was a very welcoming host and accommodated our late check-in with no hesitation. The room is exactly as seen in the pictures, very clean an spacious with an ensuite bathroom with good shower. The house is in a great location up a small lane so it is very peaceful and yet with a 10 minute walk you can be right in the middle of Kenmare. Faye provided a wonderful breakfast with home-made bread and freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs fresh from her own hens. We found this good value for money and would consider staying here again if we are lucky to back in such a beautiful part of the world!
Wonderful visit. Faye welcomed us with a cup of tea and fabulous suggestions on what to see and visit. Accommodations were excellent and breakfast was great. An excellent host.
We highly recommend staying with Faye! She is extremely hospitable and you will feel at home immediately in her house. She is quick to offer tea, coffee, or any snack you desire upon check in and her full Irish breakfast is delicious. Her rooms are spotlessly clean and the location is great for touring the ring of Kerry or any of the excellent sights in county Kerry. Stay with Faye! We will if we ever come this way again.
My boyfriend Simone and I spent two days at Faye's place during our trip around Ireland in early August. Faye is a really sweet and caring person, and made any effort to make us feel at ease and welcome from the very beginning. At our arrival, she welcomed us with a nice cup of tea and a slice of a yummy, handmade cream-and-raspberry cake.
Our room was wide, bright and comfortable (just as in the photos!), with a really huge bed (perfect also for tall people like my boyfriend!) and an equally huge shower in the ensuite bathroom. Everything was perfectly clean.
We enjoyed chatting with Faye as well as interacting with her well-mannered children and petting her friendly cat and dog, when we had the chance to do so. Faye also gave us good suggestions for places to have dinner in Kenmare.
Last, but not the least, Faye cooked delicious breakfast for us, including freshly squeezed orange juice, toasts, jam and her mouth-watering full Irish breakfast :)
