The town is off the beaten track, so guests will need a car to tour Cork and Kerry. There is limited public transport - bus 1 a day to Cork and Killarney during winter. There are local taxis too. The town is a Gourmet Capital of Ireland! Kenmare has a plentiful supply of pubs and great restaurants within walking distance. There are fabulous hotels with great spas and bars. We are on the sea and there are loads of great outdoor activities. These include golf, hillwalking, fishing, kayaking, horse riding and water sports nearby.

Check In
  • Faye was an exceptional host. We were greeted by Faye and introduced to her kids and coffee was brought to the room. The room itself was big and airy and exceptionally clean. The next morning we were treated to an Irish fry up with home-made brown bread. The house is located in a beautiful part of the country. While our stay was short and brief we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and recommend this accomodation highly.

  • A very pleasant, though very short, stay. The room is spacious and clean, in a very nice family house a few minutes of driving from the city center. A good night sleep, a perfect breakfast, a great place to stay :-)

  • Faye was a very pleasant hostess, offering us a cup of tea on arrival, she had also made a cake. She offered us suggestions re dining and entertainment and showed us to our room and adjoining bathroom which was spacious and clean. The house is in a quiet street and the family and pets were all welcoming and considerate. Faye cooked us a hot breakfast the next morning, filtered coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.

  • Faye was an excellent hostess. She was very attentive, and the accommodations were fantastic. It's a large room that she kept quite tidy, including fresh towels daily. She cooked us breakfast every morning at our convenience and what a breakfast: home baked breads, butchers sausage, eggs cooked to perfection, and much else. Really didn't need lunch after such a sumptuous breakfast. And the bonus was Lucca and Daisy, her delightful children. The only drawback was we had to go next door to her mother's award winning B&B for internet access. All in all an excellent choice located where the ring of Berra kisses the ring of Kerry. Music and food in Kenmare are also great.

  • Faye was an excellent host, cooking a fabulous breakfast and even doing a sneaky load of laundry for us! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room we had huge, with a very clean bathroom. Faye's children are charming. We felt bad for staying only one night!

  • In the Middle Ages women were valued for their hospitality and it's likely the travelling bards wrote songs and ballads about their experiences. This was how they did airbnb. Faye is the modern equivalent of that. Her home is lovely and warm, she's an intelligent and delightful lady and her children are adorable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. This is what a BnB should be.
