Faye took very good care of us. The room and bathroom are very spacious, spotless clean and well furnished. The place is easy to find and is at walking distance from Kenmare. The full Irish breakfast was very good!

Faye and her children are a delight! Upon our arrival we were greeted by everyone -- Max the dog outside, Faye at the door, the children in the foyer (who immediately requested that we meet their new goldfish), and then Allegra, the sweet kitty who rested in my lap, purring, while my husband and I enjoyed tea and cake in the living room. Her home is located down a narrow country lane, just a short walk from town (which we highly recommend taking on a lovely evening). Our second-story room was huge with a large window overlooking the treetops. The bathroom was clean and the spacious shower had good water pressure -- a luxury not always found in Ireland! Breakfasts were hearty and plentiful! Plates full of sausages, puddings, country-style ham, and eggs were served along bowls of cereals and yogurt, fruit, fresh-squeezed orange juice (such a treat), and Faye's amazing homemade soda bread -- her mother's recipe! Another morning we were offered French toast with berries. We happily scarfed down all these lovely goodies alongside cups of tea and French-pressed coffee. Faye offered suggestions for local eateries and pubs, one of which (P.F. McCarthy's) we enjoyed so much that we visited a second night! Kenmare is a quaint town located perfectly for anyone desiring to travel the lesser known but highly recommended Ring of Beara. And if you do, we would certainly encourage a stay with Faye and her lovely family.

I stayed with Faye and family for a weekend to cycle the Ring Of Beara from Kenmare. It was an ideal location, just far enough outside the town to have a peaceful sleep and short enough to walk back into the town. The room was large with ensuite bathroom, all super clean. The full Irish breakfast was very good, as was all teas and snack I was offered during my stay. I was able to safely leave my rented car there all during the weekend.

Faye's home is a great pick for someone who would like to experience warm Irish hospitality and is up for a shared space. Faye's brown bread must be the best in all of Ireland! It is a nice base for exploring Kerry. We much preferred Kenmare over Kilarney and loved Faye's location. It is on a peaceful street and the walk to town is lovely.

Faye was a kind and friendly host. Our room and bath were attractive and comfortable, and her soda bread is the best I've eaten in Ireland! Kenmare is about a 20-minute walk, which we welcomed after so much driving.
