A clean, simple, and modern space, designed by Wisznia architects. The building is called the Maritime building, New Orleans original skyscraper. It's in the perfect location to visit the French Quarter, the convention center, or the superdome.
The nights of December 22nd, 23rd, and the 24th are now just $85 a night! This does not include the $100 cleaning fee that I pay my cleaning lady.
$180 is the average price throughout the year. This price could vary anywhere from $95 to $350 depending on if it's a holiday, special event, or overall a certain time of year you're inquiring about. Hotels operate in the same fashion, but I always try to stay below hotels such as Monteleone, and other top rated fancier hotels.
Stay in luxury at the "first skyscraper to be built in New Orleans." The building was built in 1889.
It sits one block from Bourbon and Canal St. Canal St. is what separates the Central Business District from the French Quarter. You would truly be at the center of it all.
-king sized bed
-large L shaped couch
-flat screen television
On the roof there is a heated pool, electric grill, fitness room, and sauna.
Feel free to cook and utilize the kitchen. Sorry but I don't have a stock of food, spices, herbs, etc. Not yet anyway. The only thing I really have is salt and pepper, and the shakers to go with it.
All the doormen are extremely friendly and helpful. Any questions you have about restaurants, shopping, etc. they will gladly answer.
You will need to bring your own soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. unless a special request is made. I do provide hand soap, laundry soap, dish soap, counter top spray, towels, and dryer sheets. I now have a collection of travel size everything that has been left by past guests.
The kitchen is fully furnished aside from the spice/herb issue as far as appliances and cookware is concerned, dishes, cups etc.
This apt. is perfect for a couple, small family, or solo on business. Air mattress is available upon request.
There are a couple of bikes in the lobby that belong to the building that you may use.
Checkout is noon. Check-in is 4pm. These are the guidelines. If a guest is leaving the same day one is arriving this gives me time to clean in between guests. Checkout and check-in is otherwise flexible.
Clean up any large messes, no shoes on the carpet, and if you break it, you buy it.
Please clean up any large messes. If you break anything or stain anything I would appreciate you replacing the item or paying for the professional cleaning. Please no shoes on the carpet, and as little as possible inside the house. Also, this is not a party house! Of course you may drink, and get as drunk as you like, but shouting, screaming, running through the hallways, playing music very loudly, inviting a large group over...this cannot happen. I think you get the idea. This is not a hotel. This is my house.
The listing was just as described, and I echo previous guests' comments. The condo was very clean, spacious, and perfect for our needs. We loved the Mrs. Meyer's products in the kitchen and bathroom, and the king sized bed was quite comfortable. The only downside was the noise pollution. Though we were on the 8th floor, it felt as though the construction crew outside was in our living room. Earplugs are a must! Location was great, and we could walk to a lot of the restaurants and destinations on our list. Great way to stay in New Orleans.
Perfect size for 2-4 people. Excellent location, right near all the action. Very clean, great layout. Just about all you could ask for in a vacation getaway.
We can't say enough good things about our stay in Darin's 8th Floor Condo.
Smooth check in with doorman, exceptionally clean, roomy and well appointed apartment (furniture is sleek and comfortable). It had everything we needed including the central location to the French Quarter, Garden district and CBD. Streetcar stops are 1 or 2 blocks from building.
Yes there is a lot of construction going on that you can hear in the apartment. The noise didn't bother us too much and there were earplugs provided (nice touch) but we didn't need to use them.
We have stayed in many hotels and B&B's in New Orleans over the years and this was by far our best lodging experience.
We will definitely try to book again on our next trip to New Orleans.
Our condo was exately as described. Very clean and well equiped. very well located. The trams were a bit noisy, but we got used to them.
We had a very enjoyable stay there.
This place was absolutely fantastic. Perfect location. Gorgeous condo with plenty of space. Nearly all amenities included. Darin was very prompt with any questions or concerns. Even brought over some Draino for the slow draining tub. Unbelievable deal for what it is compared to hotels and other locations. I don't think I'll ever use a hotel again.
The unit was as described, maybe even a bit better. It was clean, open and a very cool space. The location was right off Canal across from the French Quarter. Although we liked the location, construction, street cars and street noise were loud - no fault of the owners. We would recommend this apartment as a great location and urban experience. Darin was great to work with and answered many questions.
Very good place. Listing was as described. Great location. No parking included and water was "hard" would be only downsides (plus the street noise that other reviewers have described). Several places (walgreens, cvs) nearby to get basic food items. Inflatable mattress in closet to sleep another couple or kids in the living room. Restaurant downstairs closes Sunday at 1pm, FYI if you are wanting to get crepes there. We would definitely stay here again.

I am originally from a small town in Indiana but now love and am proud to call New Orleans home. My life at this point is basically distilling, brewing, billiards, botany, and travel. I have a 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse where I am currently building and raising money for a distillery/brewery/perfumery/farm.
