About this listing
One bedroom with private bath and one bedroom with shared bath in my cozy West Hartford home. My home is close to West Hartford Center and Blueback Square and a lovely walk to Elizabeth Park Rose Garden. As a teacher, I have an early start to my day, but am happy to leave cereal and fruit for you to enjoy! Full kitchen privileges for those who wish to prepare their own meals.
There are 2 bus lines within walking distance from my street which bring you to downtown Hartford headed east or Farmington headed west. My location is very convenient to area colleges, UCONN Law School and the UCONN Medical School.
My neigborhood is quiet and quaint! I love to meet new people visiting Connecticut and share my suggestions for terrific daytrips around the area! My favorite part of Airbnb is meeting, talking and getting to know wonderful people from all over the world!
We had a wonderful time at Holly’s charming home in West Hartford. Holly was warm and welcoming. She was personable and helpful, without being intrusive. The bedroom (which is a very nice size/bathroom is on the first floor, while all the other bedrooms are upstairs. The neighborhood is safe and was in a great location for us, as it was only a few blocks from our daughter, who we were here to visit. The pictures are accurate and communication was good. West Hartford is a great little town with many interesting restaurants. Holly had thought of everything, with even a little refrigerator in our room if we wanted to keep some of our stuff in there, separately from the kitchen (which we were welcome to use, also). She even changed our fresh flowers in our room during our stay. There is a nice deck in the backyard that we sat out on in the mornings. We felt right at home with Holly. We would definitely stay at Holly’s again when we are back this way. Thank you, Holly!
Oh my Gosh! Holly is such a warm and inviting hostess! The room was well appointed, great quality linens and our own personal refrigerator! It was easy to make an arrival time with Holly. We've done a lot of B&B's and home exchanges and Holly has it down to a science, a very welcoming science. She knows how to be very friendly and engaging without being intrusive. That's a neat trick! We plan on returning many, many times.
Holly was a great host and I enjoyed my stay at her home. The entire house was very clean and welcoming.
Holly was a great hostess. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom clean and stocked with the things we needed. She had an area in the kitchen where we could help ourselves to a much-needed cup of tea. We wish we would have been able to stay longer, and would love to stay with her again.
My father stayed with Holly when he came to visit me. He enjoyed his stay at Holly's home in West Hartford. Everything was ready and waiting for hum upon arrival. The room was comfortable and she made her kitchen available for coffee and cereal in the morning. The neighborhood is quiet, and very accessible to attractions and shopping.
Holly is a terrific host. I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Having never booked an airb&b I wasn't sure how it would be, however it couldn't have been better. Holly's home is very nice and you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. I highly recommend staying here to anyone who is interested. The neighborhood is pleasant and quiet.
What a warm welcome we received. The location was perfect for our stay in West Hartford. Easy walking distance for morning coffee if needed although if you are lucky enough to have some of Holly's banana bread then you probably won't need anything else. Our room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. I can't recommend Holly's highly enough and will definitely be back when we next visit West Hartford.
