Interaction with Guests
I like to interact with my guests as much or as little as they would like. I am always available (24/7) to answer questions via email, text, or phone, and I enjoy meeting many of my guests. However, I am also very respectful, and allow my guests to determine how much interaction they would like to have. Ever since I setup automatic door locks, there are some guests that I have not ever met in person. Whatever works best for the guest, works fine for me.
I love that the downtown neighborhood is so vibrant, and provides the ability to walk to the best restaurants, bars, shopping, and nightlife in Austin. The Railyard is in a unique location that is hard to beat. I also appreciate the convenient access to Town Lake for hiking and biking trails, among other things.
In addition to the Airport Flyer that I already mentioned, there are also pedicabs, taxi cabs, light rail, horse-drawn carriages, limousines, and other forms of public transportation within a block that can be easily accessed.
Other Things to Note
If you are interested in hosting an even larger group, please note that I own and manage a large number of units in the same building complex, as well as some nearby houses. I am happy to host large groups for weddings, convention center trade shows, and other events in Austin.
Check-in is 3pm. Check-out is 11am. These times can be flexible, but we will need to communicate in advance so I can plan accordingly.
All guests must abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the condominium complex pertaining to noise, trash, and smoking violations, etc. Any fines incurred will be the responsibility of the tenant. Be advised that noise violations start at $250 per occurrence. These fines can be assessed by the HOA without warning, however, I have never heard of a warning not being issued by a neighbor in advance. If somebody asks you to keep it down, please immediately accommodate them. If a fine is assessed, it will be deducted from your security deposit.
Please do not smoke or leave trash outside of the unit in the common areas. Please do not smoke in the unit or an additional $300 cleaning fee will be charged. If you choose to use the alarm system, please be aware that any false alarms that are created (sending for police and the fire department), will be a assessed a $100 fee per occurrence.
Before you leave, please help the housekeeper prepare for the next guests by completing the following:
•Please take all trash out to the dumpster
•Please load all dishes into the dishwasher and run it on the normal cycle.
•Please turn the AC up to 80º F
•Please close all windows and place the keys and clicker on the counter
•Press the lock button on the front door and leave the condo secured
The Argyle Suite was ideally located for the Austin (Half) Marathon. We were able to walk every where we needed to go, and didn't have to worry about finding (and paying for) parking around downtown Austin. All of the necessities were available, and Ryan and Thomas were very accommodating.
The only downside was definitely the noise at night, but that is to be expected with the downtown experience. Speaking of noise, the dryer was insanely squeaky (imagine nails on chalkboard amplified), so when we did run a load we made sure that we were not there.
Overall, we had a great experience at the Austin Argyle and would definitely consider staying again.
The apartment is in a great location. The place is just as it looked in the photos.
Apartment was perfect. Location was very central. Parking lot was easy to get in and out of.
The listing was accurate, the stay was smooth and easy to check in/out. Location couldn't have been any better, walking distance to anything you could want.
The host was very easy to communicate with and so helpful answering questions we had about the place. The space was beautiful! It was nicely decorated, clean and organized. The best part was how centrally located the apartment is to downtown Austin. We were able to walk almost everywhere - a huge perk!
Host accommodated us with an early check in, but there were a few things not up to the description. There was no french press coffee maker, and the Keurig was damaged and didn't work well. The hot water heater was inadequate for even one medium length shower, and the washer stopped 3 times in 2 different settings. The dryer squealed loudly during entire cycle. There were only 3 wine glasses, and no dish soap other than the dishwasher machine soap. WiFi was spotty and inadequate 90% of the time. Location was great, but the place needs attention.
I have tried to reach out to you via telephone and email. I have not heard back. I am terribly sorry that you were not 100% satisfied with your stay, but your concerns were never brought to our attention prior to this review. We had no idea you had any issues, and our on-site management would have been happy to bring additional wine glasses or a french press since somebody must have taken them accidentally or broken these items. There was soap under the kitchen sink after you checked out, so I am guessing you didn't see it? Again, a quick call/text/email would have resulted in us bringing more hand soap for the kitchen sink in a heartbeat. On the Keurig, we tested it and find it to be working normally. I am not sure why you had issues, but maybe the K-cup you used was damaged, as opposed to the machine itself? On the hot water heater, the guests before you and after you have not had any issues, and we tested it after receiving your review. The only thing I can think of is that the cold temperatures that were hitting Austin during your visit may have caused it to take longer to heat back up after being used? On the squeaky dryer, I was not aware of this, but have had somebody out to take a look. Thank you for letting me know! And last but not least, on the WIFI, we use a building wide system. Sometimes its flawless, and other times it acts up. If you had called us, we would have delivered a wireless hot spot to accommodate your needs. All in all, I am really sorry that you felt the need to write this review. I think that we could have easily rectified almost all of your issues if you had just let us know about them. I hope you will come back and give us a chance to make it all better.
Amazing support from the day I booked to the day we headed out. Ryan and his team were always in reach for requests of all kinds, from asking early move-in to suggesting a hiking trail.
The space itself was well-maintained, perfectly located, and thoughtfully furnished.
This was my first Airbnb experience and if they're all like this I'm hooked.

I have been in Austin since 1994. As much as I love the city, I also enjoy traveling and photographing vacation destinations and tourist attractions around the world. As a registered travel agent, I am able to work while I enjoy tours and activities in places like London, Paris, Rome, New York, San Francisco, and Hawaii, to name a few.
I have always wanted to own/operate a hotel. That has been a passion of mine since I was a child. For that reason, I enjoy having guests staying in my rental properties, and I want to provide so much more than just a place to stay. My goal is to create a memorable experience for my guests. I want my guests to know that not only does Austin deliver a good time, but that this home away from home is waiting for you. With my connections in the travel industry, and tenure in the city, I strive to provide a level of service you will not find with other rental managers.
Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like. I enjoy talking about Austin and the property, so I welcome you to communicate with me. I am here to help, and your good time is my priority.
