The space

Our traditional Irish farmhouse is a delightful refurbished 200 year old farmhouse set in the heart of the Irish countryside. It has been fully renovated and is well equipped with all modern conveniences.

There is a Liscannor stone patio area with outside table and chairs where one can sit out and enjoy the tranquility of the local countryside. The garden area is very private.

This self catering accommodation is suitable for people seeking peace and tranquility, yet within a few miles of great restaurants and some of Ireland’s main tourist attractions.

These include - the majestic Cliffs of Moher which rise in places to over 700 feet,
The world renowned Burren - an amazing karst limestone area. Its geology, flora, caves, archaeology and history set it apart as a place of mystery and beauty - an explorer’s dream. The nearby Burren Display Centre in Kilfenora helps unravel many of its mysteries,
Lahinch seaside and golf village with its great beach and surfing,
Doolin fishing village with its world famous pubs and home of Irish traditional music and
Lisdoonvarna which is Ireland’s only Spa town.

We are 50 minutes drive from Shannon Airport. Our nearest town is Ennis, the county town of Clare, 20 miles away.

We provide an information folder and map of the local places of interest.

Nice, off the beaten path place to stay. Lovely outdoor area to sit in and enjoy the outdoors. Beds were too stiff or too noisy for our liking, but they served their purpose. Water pressure a 6/10 in the shower. The oil stove was most appreciated as it got pretty cold in the mornings. The radiators appear to be on a timer and come on in the evening. The washer works but will keep the door locked for hours after the load is finished. The trick to get your laundry out is to do your load of choice, then after that finishes, start a 'quick wash'. That will unlock the door, allowing you to get your clothing out. You really need to have a car for this place, as it is very remote. Nollaig and Richard sent us GPS coordinates that we put into Maps that guided us right to the property. We bought 3 SIM cards ( and we had pretty reliable 3G coverage and internet access during our stay. The cell phone the hosts left has a wifi hotspot, but it kept dropping. The phone does work to make and receive calls if needed. You're fairly close to the Cliffs of Moher, which is great. I recommend checking out the visitor center, but if you're looking to save money, there's a coastal trail access spot not far from the property that only costs €2 to park at, and gives you great views of the cliffs. Overall, I recommend this spot.

Spacious farmhouse in a secluded area. You must have a car for this one but with SAT NAV it is easy to get around.

Lovely place in an amazing sorounding. Super quiet and beautiful, remote area. Nollaig and Richard are great hosts, easy to communicate with and helpful in any kind of way. The farmhouse is spacious, super clean and tidy and very well equipped! Highly recommend!

Secluded farmhouse. Wifi was a bit spotty but Richard (Nollaig's husband) was a phone call away and even sent someone to fix the heat very promptly. Would certainly recommend if you need a stopover night on your trip. It was a great place between Galway and Killarney for us to stop. Cliffs of Moher are close and Lehinch was such a cool little beachside town.

Had a really great stay in lehinch. The house was in a very secluded spot which gave us a lovely peaceful stay. Perfectly situated to visit the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Lehinch and Doolin if you are driving.
