I would definitely recommend staying at The Elizabethan for many reasons. Tom was extremely responsive to my inquiry, making sure all my questions were answered timely. Very accommodating to a possible late arrival. Their attention to detail was apparent as soon as you walk in and even more so at breakfast! Loved the English touches! Art! The whole inn is decorated with family artwork and Rita had some interesting conversation to go along with it. I wish we had more time to check it all out during our short stay. The room was clean, quaint, and exactly what we were looking for. A lovely couple to do business with. I'd stay again if they had availability.

Lovely old home right in town. Short amble across the street to Norwich U for those visiting. Plenty of off-street parking. It's on the main road through town so you will hear cars [not trucks] going by. That quieted down by 11:30 pm - a little late for me but it was quiet in the morning. Friendly, easy-going hosts.

Response from Rita & Tom:
Dear Claudia, thank you for your nice review, sorry you were worried about the traffic … it was unfortunate that you stayed with us on one of the busiest weekends of the year, "parents weekend" at the university. Best wishes, Tom and Rita.

Rita,( with the English accent ) is an artist, poet and your host at The Elizabethan.
Tom, your co-host ( with the Yankee accent) also an artist, received his formal art education in London, England. They met, they married and raised a family in England. Now they live in Vermont where they opened The Elizabethan in 2004 and would like to welcome you to a visit...
