I live in West End Halifax, around the corner from Halifax Shopping Centre and the Mumford transit terminal (from which you can get to almost anywhere in the city), with easy access to Highway 102 to the airport. It's a 10 minute drive to downtown and a 25 minute drive to the airport. Bayers Lake Power Centre is also a short drive away.
I have an extra bedroom with a queen bed, dresser, and desk. The house is equipped with wireless internet and there is a shared bathroom down the hall from your room.
Use of the kitchen is welcome, if needed. I do not provide meals, but you are welcome to food in the cupboards if you are on a tight schedule.
I have two friendly pets, a dog (medium size) and a cat. This home would not be suitable for anyone who is not comfortable with animals, as they are both very curious and love to meet new people! You are more than welcome to bring your pets with you to stay. My cat has not been exposed to other cats before, but he is good with dogs.
Parking is available in driveway or on the street. For easier access to your vehicle, parking in the street is recommended.
If you have any questions about the city or area, how to get around, or want to know anything else about the accommodations, I am more than happy to help!
If you're a respectful guest, you're welcome to stay! The cat is not allowed outside, so please be careful when opening the door.
Celina's house is a fine place to stay. For short or longer periods.
We have stayed for almost a month and did several day trips and a 5 day trip to Prince Edward Island
The room is basic but spacious, bed sleeps well. High speed internet.
Superstores are on walking distance where there is also a bus-station.
Don't let the cat out......
Excellent accueil!
Wonderfull stay! We felt like home thanks to Celina.
Advices on places to go, she offered to drive us.
Very friendly pets (Jetson is sooo cool).
Bus stop and shopping center less than 5 min walk.
We met an host, we left a friend.
Celina and roommate were great hosts, the home is very nice and clean. The bed was amazingly comfortable... Jetson was cute and friendly.
Celina was a wonderful host, her house was very welcoming to stay in and the room was terrific, a nice large bed, everything felt clean and comfortable. It was great being given the key code so we could come and go as we wished. Celina gave us some great tips about where to eat and what to see, the Foggy Goggle was awesome! Her pets were also lovley, we were missing our own at this stage in the trip so it was cool to have such friendly critters around. We would stay here again.
Celina - an incredible person! She was witty, cheerful, hospitable and helpful to me and my girlfriend when we stayed at her house. And although my English could be much better, us with Selina absolutely understood each other and had a lot of fun. the only thing we regret that we spent so little time together. Selina gave us a gorgeous room with a king size bed. we felt really at home. and we fell in love with a chic cat Celina, as well as its good-natured dog who was a lover of barking, but only in order to make friends. And we made an excellent impression of Celina's brother, with whom we were unfortunately not able to communicate enough. We believe that anyone who will be a guest of Celina lucky.
We spent one night here on our way out of Halifax the next day. The location was an easy drive to the things we wanted to see in the city. We slept well in the bed, and the dog was very cute! Though nervous of us strangers at first. He got much happier once Celina came home to reassure him. The cat was very sweet too!!
Celina was a great host and the room is beautiful! It was our first ever airbnb place and it set a high standard for us! She was so nice and made us feel comfortable! Very welcoming and generous! If I ever go back to Halifax I will definitely stay there!

I've called Halifax and other parts of Nova Scotia my home for almost all my life, and am slowly but surely ticking off visits to other parts of Canada (I've yet to visit MB, SK, and the Territories). I have a cat and a dog (who takes up a lot of my time!) and am a young professional working for a real estate consulting company downtown. I like sushi, music, sewing, walking the dog at Point Pleasant Park, and am beginning to try my hand at some home renovations.
Here's hoping your experience with AirBnB is as great as mine has been so far!
