Federico's apartment was great! There is tons of space and the apartment is kept nice and really clean. I only had to stay at federico's place for two days but I could easily imagine myself staying there for a month or even more. The position of the flat is perfect! its right by the metro station and is surrounded by buses that can take you directly into the city center (U87). I highly recommend this place for people traveling in groups of 4 or more.
The flat was very nice, clean and comfortable, just as described, near to the Metro station which was very convenient.
The internet only works during the day but it wasn't a big issue.
The girl in charge had a problem and arrived 30 minutes later but she was very nice and helpful.
Overall it was a great experience, thank you! I recommend this property.
Your apartment was very nice and roomy and catered well for our group of people.Public transport was very close to our apartment .However we felt that the apartment catered more for elderly people or people who were in bed by 8pm.The neighbours were not very understanding of daily family activities eg, washing machine going, tv on and general family conversations between 6 people in heat wave conditions.
Thanking you, Luana
Appartamento in ottima posizione, metro quasi sotto casa.
l'appartamento e molto spazioso e pulito,
The apartment was great and very spacious. It is also very close to a metro station and a bus stop, so getting around the city was much easier. There are also a decent number of places to eat and some stay open fairly late. Federico was very helpful; there was a problem with the hot water our first day, and he sent someone to fix it within 5 hours of me emailing him. That being said, the hot water was limited. So if more than 3 people showered, it got cold. The internet also cuts out after 12 am. Other than that, the apartment was very enjoyable and I would definitely recommend Magna Grecia.
Federico spoke excellent English and was very professional. He worked flexibly with our arrival time and provided a thorough walk through of the apartment and appliances.
Magna Grecia is a spacious apartment on the fourth floor of an elevator building, with a great location, half a block from the San Giovanni Metro station. There are restaurants, gelato store, a fresh vegetable market, small department store, and more all within a few minutes of walking.
The apartment is split down the center via a hallway. On the street facing side (Magna Grecia), is a bedroom with two single beds that sit facing each other, and the living room depicted in the picture with the two black sofas.
On the other side of the hallway (facing the inner court yard), in order, a bedroom with a single bed, a bedroom with a queen size bed (actually two singles put together) and a desk, bathroom with a shower and washing machine, and the kitchen with the dining area.
Having the washing machine is very convenient. Our clothes dried very quickly in the dry/warm Rome climate. Turning on the fan towards the drying rack helped our jeans dry within a few hours.
Some things to consider:
Magna Grecia is noisy and we frequently heard high revving drivers at night. The apartment has fans (no air conditioning) so it can get loud when the windows are open during the warm nights. Each room has doors, so you can keep that side of the apartment closed off. Those staying in the bedroom facing the street should plan on bringing ear plugs if they are light sleepers.
We had one major inconvenience and one minor one during our stay.
The hot water tank looks plenty big but it does not appear to heat the water very warm (we had it set to the highest heat level) or there is a plumbing problem with delivering hot water to the shower. There is only enough hot water for about 3 - 4 minutes before the water becomes lukewarm for another 5 - 6 minutes. After that, the water runs cold. Reheat takes about 90 - 120 minutes. We had a party of four, so when we all needed to shower after a day walking the city, only one person had a warm shower with the rest taking cold showers.
Internet connection: the router in the apartment is actually just an access point for internet connection in another apartment nearby. It seems that the other resident shuts down their wireless router during the night (quite late) and turns it back on around 8:30 AM. We had trips to plan on some mornings before 8:30 and found no internet access even though we were fully connected to our router.
