Marzia's home was exactly what we needed, very clean and perfect size for two. A little longer than expected to walk to main sites, however still easy walking distance and close to some delicious restaurants away from the hustle and bustle. Couldn't ask for better accommodation for the fantastic price and would recommend this to anyone going for a weekend away!!
We had a great time staying at Marzia's apartment. She met us when we arrived and showed us around, how everything worked and left us with maps and suggestions for things to do in Rome. The apartment is comfortable, clean and in a fantastic location. It was as described on the website, and I would highly recommend it if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Rome.
This was a fabulous base from which to explore all the best sites of Rome. We were within walking distance of the Forum and the Vatican, in the heart of the historic Trastevere district. Small conveniences - like a quart of milk, coffee, juice, tea and some biscuits - were thoughtfully left in the fridge, which was truly appreciated as we arrived late at night. The decor was tasteful, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom spotless. Wonderful place to stay!
Marzia is a very friendly host. She responds fast and is very helpful. The location is just great. For sure, the best neighbourhood in Rome!
Before you book this apartment be aware that this apartment is used for commercial use only, so nothing personal in the apartment and not much in the fridge. Also, the price seems low, but if you read the houserules (probably after booking, like I did) you notice that she charges citytax per person per day and she also charges a fee if you arrive after 8 at night (20 euro). All this adds up to a much higher price.
And don't forget to have a look at check-out time, it's 10 o'clock sharp. The cleaninglady even arrived 5 minutes before 10, on a sunday!!
The apartment is very clean and comfotable. Shower is perfect. The bed is small with a hard matress. Make sure to open the windows as far as possible because there isn't any ventilation in the house to bring fresh air!
Overall, we would have enjoyed staying with Marzia if she hadn't charged so many extra's.
I can't say enough about how lovely the flat was. Friends advised us to stay in Trastevere as it was a nice, buzzing area and after walking around all of Rome we were extremely glad we took the advice! The flat is in the heart of Trastevere and a short (10 mins) walking distance to Central Rome and all the sights. The area isn't as touristy as the rest of Rome so felt like a much more authentic Roman experience. Trastevere was extremely charming with loads of tiny cobbled streets, Piazzas, great restaurants and really cool bars. The flat is very spacious for two people. It's in excellent condition, very clean and so nice it's hard to leave! It's 2 minutes away from Piazza di Santa Maria where enjoyed several afternoon drinks and people watched.
Marzia is an excellent host. She met us on arrival and after showing us how everything worked was able to offer some tips on restaurants and things to do both in Rome and in Trastevere. The flat was looked after a very nice gentleman Mr Giovanni who worked in the building next door. When we checked out we were able to leave our bags locked in a storage room so we could enjoy the last day without lugging our bags around, before our flight later that evening.
This was our first experience staying in a flat over a hotel and after the experience would only consider doing this option again.
We stayed in this lovely apartment for two nights with our daughter. Marzia was very helpful and clear with her directions and the place was easy to find. Once there, Marzia gave some great directions on where to eat (Ivo pizza is excellent and just 2 mins walk!), and left us to enjoy our stay.
The wifi worked fabulously, and the cot she provided us with for our daughter was great. The shower was hot and powerful - an absolute must to wake up to! There was a little bit of noise at night when cars or scooters went past, but this pretty much stopped after 11pm.
All in all an excellent place for two people to stay and I would recommend it.
Great location...on a quiet side street but very close to everything you want to do in Rome. A/C isn't the strongest, so in the summer, it is a bit hot in there.
The apartment we rented in Trastervere was amazing. There was some kind of mix up which resulted in us staying in the larger basement apartment rather than the street level apartment we actually reserved, but the building is great and the area is wonderful. We stayed here after we had seen much of Rome and enjoyed the break from the teeming center. We were so close to numerous cafes and restaurants, but also enjoyed shopping at the local stores and markets and cooking for ourselves. The kids loved the local park that was 2 minutes away, and we were all sad to be leaving when we did. Next time we're in Rome we will definitely try to stay here again.
This was a really cool place to stay. It was easy to get to all the Rome attractions on the must-see list by public transportation. The neighborhood was a great place to wander. There were many cafes and interesting shops which added to the beauty of the neighborhood.
The apartment was clean and well appointed. The gentleman who greeted us was very helpful in setting our bearings for our transportation to sights and eventually the train to the airport (very easy access - about 45 minutes from door to airport)
Marzia's home in Trastevere was an enchanted space nestled in a cobblestone alley with everything we desired my girlfriend and my romantic stay in Rome, in the PERFECT location. We were greeted by a warm and charismatic gentleman overseeing the location, who gave us a warm welcome to this warm and ethereal home.
