* Change and wash sheets and towels
* Throw away the trash
* Make sure bathroom is clean
* Do a sweep and “Swiffer” of the floors
* Make sure laundry card and keys are properly returned
If you are unable to commit to doing this, please let me know at the time of your reservation and I will add a $60 cleaning fee to your reservation.
Nathan made "checking in" accessible and easy. He is an incredibly efficient communicator and took care of any concerns we had as quickly as possible. The condo was spacious, bright, and gave great views of the city. Aside from the kitchen and bathroom needing some updates, the condo has all the amenities one could need. The building had an elevator so moving in our bags was a breeze. It is a secure building and there are maintenance and building supervisors around at all times, which adds to the security. The neighbors are kind and helpful. All of this topped off by the fact that this place is in Adams Morgan, one of the best neighborhoods in town. With the amazing weather that graced us during our visit, we were able to walk all over, hike into Rock Creek Park, stroll through the crowds on 18th St., and explore the nighttime sounds of the neighborhood: the violinist busker on the corner, dogs barking at one another across sidewalks, music coming from the open doors and windows of the restaurant bar scene, and late night soccer games on the new Marie Reed field. DC really is a special place, and having this experience reminded us of just how great it is to sometimes vacation back at home.
This was a beautiful place to spend part of my summer, and I could not have asked for a more gracious or hospitable host. The apartment is in an incredible location (close to the subway at Woodley Park and the restaurants on 18th Street, as well as within walking distance to Dupont), and it is very airy and spacious. Nathan responded to all of my questions very rapidly and went out of his way to make me and my wife feel welcome. I would highly recommend staying here.
We did not meet Nathan in person as he was out of town during our stay. Nevertheless, he gave us precise information to check-in and out; which we did without any problem.
Overall, we have been very satisfied with the apartment. The location is excellent, close to the Metro, the zoo, and a dynamic neighborhood with shops and restaurants. The room is quiet and the living room is pleasant.
I stayed at Nathan's place for 4 months while I was doing an internship in DC. Like other reviewers, I never met Nathan in person, but he still managed to be an excellent host. He was very responsive each time I had a question about the apartment, and even managed to make sure that items I had accidently left behind were sent to me (above and beyond his responsibilities, if you ask me).
As for the apartment itself, there isn't much I can say that hasn't been said. It is clean, spacious, and bright. Great king-sized bed and a larger than expected bathroom. The building is remarkably quiet, as I never heard the neighbors when I was in the apartment. When I did run into other building residents, everyone seemed very pleasant.
Finally, the location is perfect, close to everything you could need. The Woodley Park metro station is an easy walk, and there is a bus stop right across the street. Also, there are several Capital Bikeshare stations close by, and I highly recommend this as the easiest and quickest way to get around DC if you are there for an extended period. As a single female, I always felt safe in the neighborhood, even late at night, as there always seemed to be alot of people out and about. If you happen to bring a dog with you, there is a great dog park within a 5 minute walk, as well as some great hiking trails in and around Rock Creek Park.
Nathan's apartment has a great location and the apartment itself is very spacious. Nathan was very attentive and responsive before, during, and after my family's stay.
The only suggestion I would make is to have guests pay a cleaning fee instead of having them clean the apartment before their departure.
