Lovely, well-equipped apartment in a great central location. Winnie was a very accommodating host and everything went perfectly. Thank you for having us!
Winnie's reply is lighting fast and helpful. The apartment is comfortable and the surrounding is quite. It only takes 1 or 2 minutes to metro. I love this place and Paris so much!
We had a wonderful stay at winnie's place! The location is great with many shops nearby and it's very convenient and accessible. Thanks for winnie's swift and helpful reply about any queries, and it's such a good experience to me and my friends;)
Absolutely loved staying at Winnie's awesome flat. Loads of space, comfortable, quiet and in such an amazing location. Winnie is an excellent host, very responsive, friendly and super helpful. Thank you for a great stay!
Wonderful apartment in a great location. It was a pleasure, I'd definitely recommend her and her place!
Charming flat indeed! We had a nice stay at Winnie's place.
Quite a multicultural neighbourhood with all shops etc. on hand and a metro station just 150 m away, so you can get to other places in town quickly.
The flat has got all the infrastructure needed and Winnie is very professional and quick in her communication.
My sister and I had a great stay at Winnie's place. The apartment has a metro station less than a block away, and it's also very conveniently located near Republique metro station, where one can catch several metro lines. The flat itself is very cute, and is perfect for a prolonged stay as there is plenty of room to relax (particularly if more than one person is visiting). I found having a washing machine and place to cook easy meals really nice, and the neighborhood offers several traiteurs and restaurants for easy takeaway and grocery stores, and one absolutely fantastic bakery called Du Pain et Des Idees - wonderful for a quick run out for breakfast.
Communication with Winnie was great - she always responded immediately. When I first arrived, I emailed Winnie to let her know I'd made it into the apartment - I also had a question about the stove. Winnie called immediately to explain, and to make sure all was okay with me and that I had everything I needed. I also unfortunately blew the fuse one night and was able to get in touch with Winnie immediately, and all was resolved within 2 minutes - a huge relief (just don't turn on the washing machine and hair dryer on at the same time as I did!).
Regarding the roof construction going on-we did see and hear the workers (there is scaffolding up and they sometimes walk very near the windows), but it started after 8 in the morning during the work week, and ended before I got home each evening, so it wasn't really bothersome to us.
The arrangement to get into the apartment went smoothly. I highly recommend staying at Winnie's.
super cute flat. however, Winnie failed to disclose that heavy construction was happening at the flat. This means we were awoken to loud noise at 8am each day. When we notified her of this, and the fact that other Airbnb listings typically disclose and discount for construction, she said she had already discounted our rate which was puzzling when you compare this to others. She also said she knew about the construction but that it was not supposed to start until 11am. Um: really? And why didn't she disclose this in the listing?
She then expressed concern about us staying there if we were not happy and told us to investigate a nearby hotel which of course we had no time to do on our vacation. We think she did not want a bad review. Nevertheless, she refused to understand our time limitations and responded a second time about us investigating the nearby hotel - insensitive at best.
We stayed not only because we had no time during our short 3-day stay in Paris to research other places to stay, and also because we think it's very important for people to know that they may not receive full information on the place if they stay here. She ultimately reluctantly give us an approximately 15% discount which was disappointing since we felt we had basically been duped. As reference, a listing we saw in London not only disclosed construction but showed the rate as reduced by 40% which made a lot of sense to us: noise and scaffolding significantly change the lodging experience by a degree much larger than 15%.
Beyond this, the bed is extremely old and soft, and several chairs are about to break ...so definitely look before you sit (the couch even has one leg missing and is supported by a stack of magazines!). The neighborhood is also a bit sketchy.
On the plus side, the decor is certainly cute and the place was really cute. But we are having a tough time shaking the lack of disclosure and are hoping our backs recover from the delapidated furniture.
Diane was a typical US tourist, very friendly but demanding.
I feel terrible that her experience was spoiled by the unfortunate construction on the roof end event more sorry that she didn t liked my furniture. I tried my best to find a comprise an even offer to fully refunding her if she would prefer to find another accommodation. I also pointed her a local hotel just around the corner but she decided to stay...
Hope that her experience with Paris was not to ruined, I wish her to find an accommodation more suitable to her taste and needs next time.
We had a wonderful week's stay here. The location is great - central with lots of character. There are lots of great little bars and cafes up by the canal. The apartment itself is located through a courtyard, so it is wonderfully quiet. The apartment is roomy with lovely high ceilings and the decor is cute and quirky.
Séjour fort agréable Winnie est une hôte très gentille, compréhensive et surtout fiable.
Nous avons énormément aimé notre séjour dans son appartement :)
