The room was wonderful. There are sofa, big ass tv, even ps4(3). The bed was so comfortable I did not have dreams at all! The wifi is fast and they have sodas in the fridge! The host and her daughter are so nice that they offered really good breakfast. The dog Darcy was a real sweetheart, quiet and cute. The only pity is that we only got a weekend here. The weather now are great, come to Dc and stay in this heaven to enjoy your life!
Jeannette was an absolutely lovely hostess, so kind and generous. The room was large and the bed extremely comfortable.
I really enjoyed staying at Jeannette's house! This is a super spacious and comfortable room, supplied with everything a traveler possibly need. I felt like at home for the whole week and slept much better than living in hotels. Moreover, it is 20-minute walk away from the National Archives II, a perfect walking distance that allows me to relax and refresh after working in the archives a whole day. I didn't meet Jeanette, unfortunately, but met her daughter Patricia, who is also a great hostess and roommate, very caring and friendly! There is also a plaza in walking distance, where I could find grocery stores and restaurants. Very convenient!
I never had the chance to meet Jeannette unfortunately, but her home is delightful and the room you are renting out is particularly lovely. It features a wonderfully comfy King size bed, a desk, sofa and TV. The kitchen has everything you could need. I was visiting the National Archives in College Park while I was here, and it was a straightforward walk even in the middle of February.
I highly recommend this listing, and I look forward to visiting sometime in the future and meeting Jeannette in person.
Jeannette is a very special and professional host. Before i came to her place she informed me of everything. She answered my emails and calls always correctly. It was a pitty i did not get a chance to meet her personally.
Jeannette made sure i got the key of the house. Besides that she gave me a special present for my birthday. Although i could not have celebrated it with her.
The room was PERFECT tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The couch also.
Jeannette even put the christmastree for me. She left bread, fruits, juice and even Costa Rica coffee although i did not use it. I felt always safe in the neighbourhood and the busstop is very close to the house. Even at later hours at night i felt safe. I am a lady solo traveller and i was comfortable and safe at all times.
i would recommend this large room to everyone. Whenever i visit Washinton again, i will defenitly stay at Jeannette's house.
Thank you Jeannette for everything.
Pura Vida always,
Very large, very comfortable, spotless room--beautifully set up for both working and relaxing. Jeannette is extremely thoughtful, and her breakfasts were lovely. I hope to return.
We had a wonderful experience. Everything was meticulously clean and very orderly. This host seriously thinks of everything. Anything you could possibly need, she has in the room. She goes above and beyond by providing a nice breakfast each morning. We really enjoyed staying in her home and would recommend it to our friends!

I'm a very family oriented lady. I like to be hostess and make my guests feel right at home. I work as a translator and as a hobby I enjoy arts and crafts.
