Staying with Jeannette was a wonderful experience! I stayed for three weeks to do research at Archives II. I couldn't have asked for a better place. The pictures and description are accurate. While you can walk to the Archives, I suggest having a car, if you can. The roads around the house are busy and do not have proper sidewalks (but I've seen plenty of people walking) and, if you're coming in the summer, it is VERY hot and humid. Jeannette offered a more than fair price for my extended stay and she was flexible with me having a guest for a few days. She is warm and considerate and is respectful of your privacy, but also always ready to help with recommendations for places to eat, shop, etc. The bathroom is not attached, but guests are the only ones who use it. In fact, I paid for this one large room but often had much of the house to myself! I will stay here again if I need to come back to College Park.
The listing was accurate in the sense that the room was cozy and private, but it was little far from DC.
Jeannette is a great host. My parents and I really enjoyed our stay. The room is spacious and clean. And the complimentary breakfast was full of delight. The location is close to downtown DC if you drive. We felt comfortable and welcomed. We will come back again if we revisit DC in the future.
Jeanette is a great host. She prepared us lovely breakfast every morning. The room is comfortable and private. Me and my parents had a great time staying there.
Jeannette and her family made us feel immediately welcome in her home. We arrived later than we had anticipated and Jeannette was completely fine with our situation. The room was large with a comfortable king bed and nice sitting area with tv as well as wifi with a desk area. Everything was immaculate and included a refrigerator and microwave. There was a private entrance for us to use so we did not feel uneasy about coming and going as needed. Jeannette made us a wonderful breakfast and visited with my husband and me while we ate. We will gladly stay at her home in the future if we need a room when we visit our family.
CAN NOT Satisfy anymore! Highly recommend if you have a travel plan in DC~ both indoors and outdoors environment amazing! Clean, comfortable, nice, the most important is a kind host with her cute doggy, Darcy. She prepares breakfast for guests, unforgettable experience of here!
Jeannette is a wonderful host. She became sick on our first day stay, even then she took all the pain to look after us. The room is really big and very well maintained. She make us feel very very comfortable during our stay. Made wonderful breakfast and guided us properly for sight seeing. When my son got sick she gave her medicine which helped him a lot. If we visit Washington DC again, surely we will try to stay at her place.
