We really enjoyed the house, which is cosy and gorgeously furnished. The rooms are comfortable, and the sitting room upstairs is perfect to rest after a long day spent walking around.
It is perfectly located in the city: you don't even have to take the bus to reach places you have to see/visit in Dublin.
We didn't meet Iain in person as he was away for the weekend, but the communication with him was quick and easy.
To sum up, we had a wonderful experience here, and we highly recommend the house for your stay in Dublin.
Fantastic house, large, fully equipped, clean, cozy and luxurious. Location is also very good, almost everything within walking distance. Communication with Iain was also very good, fast and friendly. We felt very welcome! I recommend everyone who wants to go to Dublin, to stay in this fabulous house!
Appartement très sympa, à l'image du propriétaire. Excellent séjour !
Just marvellous. Came for one week and stayed for three. Found Tom Waits in the cd player and " Lost in Translation " posters on the wall - knew it was right. The "feel" of Iain;s place is brilliant. You can walk everywhere.
Perfect place to stay in Dublin. Cosy and gorgeous furnished house. Located in the city centre but yet very quiet.
We´ve had no chance to meet Iain but communication was perfect.
What everyone has said below is true. The house was fantastic and Iain an excellent host! We have been to Dublin many times and all loved loved the neighborhood more than any other. Thanks Iain.
We absolutely loved staying in the house of Iain. He really had a key eye for the design and layout of the place. The house is exactly as is pictured on the site. It is spacious, very quiet and yet close to lots of activity. We went to many outdoor markets, bars, restaurants, shops, and museums on foot. Communication was good. Check inn and check out was very flexible.
At short: a perfect choice for visiting Dublin
This apartment is in the absolute best location for sight seeing! We spent 10 days in Ireland, four at this apartment in Dublin. After touring the country and spending a lot of time in a car, the ability to walk everywhere was such a plus. We walked through Temple Bar nearly every day, to start with breakfast (and take-home desserts) from Queen of Tarts, then went on to typical touristy attractions such as St. Patrick's, Christ Church, Dublin Castle, the Guiness Factory, and Kilmainham Gaol. Kilmainham Gaol was the farthest thing we did, at just about 2 km. If walking isn't your thing, taxis are ridiculously easy to get along the main Quay. We were able to hail two (unnecessarily...we only needed one) at 6:30 a.m. on a Monday morning to get to the airport.
The apartment itself was clean and comfortable for four adults. My husband and I slept on the sofa bed in the downstairs den and were very comfortable. We all enjoyed hanging around the upstairs sitting room with a fire after a day of touring.
Iain and his aunt were both very helpful. The apartment includes a super handy, nicely bound information booklet about all items related to the apartment, which was very helpful.
We had an overall excellent experience and will definitely remember this apartment for future trips to Dublin!
Iain is an excellent host! Communication was perfect, replied 100% of the times super fast. Many tips from Dublin.
The house is incredible! Super fine decorated. Music in every room is something that I really (website hidden), projector and a lot of stuff to relax at the end of the night.
The kitchen is perfect, with all hardware available.
And have bikes, wish I found great!
There's nothing to say about, just to thanks about letting us to stay at your home.
This townhouse is PERFECT in every way. The location is within easy walking distance of everything Dublin! Iain's flexibility on check-in/out is very generous and accommodating - which reflects his thoughtful hospitality and we really appreciated that kindness. Everything was very clean, bright and kitchen is nicely stocked for preparing your own meals. If you're going to Dublin - this townhome gets our high recommendation.
