Bright, open, spacious one bedroom apartment with high ceilings and a deck. Beautiful hardwood floors and huge windows. Great for either a couple or friends (new, large couch). 10 minute walk to the major museums, 20 minute walk to Center City.
It is one the second floor of a beautiful brick walkup. The apartment has a Queen sized bed and a full bathroom located inside the bedroom. The bedroom also contains a door to the deck (which is furnished with 2 chairs and a table). Outside of the bedroom lies a spacious living area with a cozy new couch (2 months old) with a chaise lounge. The whole apartment has high 10 foot ceilings. It also easily controlled central heat and A/C.
I list it for 3 people because that is what the bedroom holds with a Queen bed + a couch. However I'm fine if others sleep on my air mattress. With that it could really sleep 4 or more if you bring your own additional air mattresses.
The location is about as central as you can get. The neighborhood is safe and residential. It is in the Fairmount/Art Museum neighborhood, but also situated blocks from Center City.
-Within 15 minutes walking distance to all the museums on the Ben Franklin Parkway (Barnes, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Franklin Institute)
-Walk to Center City bars and restaurants in about 20 minutes.
-7 minute walk to the Broad Street Subway Line, which operates North-South and can take you to the heart of Center City in a few minutes if you don't want to walk. You can also take this to the sports stadiums.
-10 Minute walk to the Eastern State Penitentiary and all the surrounding bars and restaurants
-1.5 miles from the Northern Liberties neighborhood
-1 mile North of Rittenhouse Square
You will have the entire apartment to yourself. I leave the keys in a lockbox hanging from my stoop. The apartment has high speed internet and Wi-Fi, Comcast digital cable with HBO. You'll also have access to a Roku where you can stream Netflix from my account on the TV.
If you have a car it is usually pretty easy to find street parking right around the apartment. There is also a school lot a block away where anyone is allowed to park. Keep in mind that I live here and many of my personal belongings will be here (clothes in the closets, etc). I'll keep as much out of your way as possible and will clear plenty of space for you.
I can provide towels and bedsheets.
I will be available by cell phone at all hours. I'll be happy to help out with advice, introduce you to nearby friends, or give recommendations on what to see/do in Philadelphia.
No Smoking inside. I have a deck where you can step out and smoke.
Epic place! Andrew was an extremely considerate host and made sure everything was taken care of in advance of our arrival. Highly recommended!
Andrew's apartment was just as described on Airbnb. My visit to Philly for the weekend was made much easier and more comfortable because of his hospitality. He provided explicit details in order to acquaint me with his apartment and the city, especially including parking tips!
Andrew did a great job of making sure we had all the information we needed before we arrived. He made finding the place and getting in very easy. He was a pleasure to work with! His map and detailed information on parking were very helpful in this urban neighborhood. The apartment was lovely and just as depicted. We loved the high ceilings and how quiet it was. This was near all the places we wanted to visit in Philly and turned out to be a perfect choice for us. We would definitely stay here again!
Andrew was a very accommodating host, having had to deal with a lot of uncertainty from my side. He understood my needs of a very late check-in and check-out time and even offered to hold my luggage after the check-out time, if I needed it. The apartment is beautiful, neat and very well kept. It is in an interesting neighborhood and there are plenty of places to explore.
This was my first experience with airbnb and it proved to be very nice.
Echange de mails avec des informations très utiles et justes (parking du quartier..)
logement conforme à la description, logement très propre, accueillant, possédant le confort nécessaire, bien placé quartier calme.
nous recommandons Andrew.
Andrew is a great host.
Communication and flexibility, I give A++
His place was very spacious, clean and patio deck was a big plus.
Only few blocks from many restaurants and Riteaid Pharmacy.
I felt very much at Home. Thanks Andrew. :)
Andrew's apartment was awesome! After staying here we can confirm that this place lived up to what we expected our weekend to be. When we arrived, Andrew was there to make sure we were able to enter the apartment and make sure we had all our questions answered. He even bought us a nice gift for our stay! His hospitality was felt throughout our stay by restaurant suggestions and pa parking map he provided. The neighborhood has a great Philadelphia vibe with nice people, lot of cool cafes, and a hip pub right around the block. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Andrew! Hope to be back soon!
I am a 29 year old male living in Philadelphia. I grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs, attended college at Georgetown University, worked in Washington, DC for a few years, and now have returned to Philadelphia to start a new job. I love exploring the city and trying new restaurants and bars in my area. I'm also a huge Philly sports fan.
