I am renting out my stylish and adorable one bedroom apartment on the upper east side. It is on 1st Ave. in the 60s, and it has all you need for a great stay in NYC. Comfortable bed, flat screen TV with Netflix, and close to public transportation.
It has a full bedroom and bathroom, with an open kitchen to the living room. My apartment is very cozy as you can tell by the pictures. I think it has a very "NY" feel, with great sunlight.
My various plants and cacti give the kitchen a very earthy twist.
The apartment has just recently been painted, as you can tell most from the bedroom pictures. I LOVE the bedroom, as it is very calming with the light paint job and color scheme. You will love waking up here!
The apartment is very clean and well taken care of.
It is also very quiet, as it does not directly face 1st avenue.
It has all amenities, including full size refrigerator, oven, kitchen, with all the pots and pans, etc., you'll ever need.
I have a large flat screen TV hooked up to the internet for free netflix movies!
My couch IS as comfortable as it looks! Also, you will LOVE sleeping on my $1000 Simmons Beautyrest Mattress (full size).
The TV in the living room has surround sound. Hook your iphone into the cable to play your music on the stereo.
There is a speaker in the bedroom and bathroom (you can tell I like music) both connected to the living room stereo.
There is a laptop computer that is yours to use
Laundry is in the building.
Just a note, the apartment is on the 6th Fl. with no elevator.
The upper east side is one of NYC's safest and nicest neighborhoods, and is just a few minutes from downtown.
There is a grocery store one block away, three local bars within 2 blocks, great restaurants close by, and much more.
Central Park is also just a few blocks away.
This is a very cute apt., and is perfect for a NYC getaway. It has lots of natural light as you can see from the pictures.
It is very close to the express bus, and conveniently located close to the 4,5,6,N,R,W,and F trains
I expect my guests to treat the apartment with respect, keep it clean and orderly, and use my property with care. Other than that, just use common sense!
Although we didn't meet Alec everything worked out really well during our stay. He helped us with all our questions and both check in and check out went smoothly. We really enjoyed our stay in NY. The apartment filled all our needs and it was clean and cozy. The location of the apartment was also good, just a few blocks from Central Park. We highly recommend Alec and his apartment if you want a good place to stay at when visiting New York!
The apartment was all we espected from it! It is warm and cosy and it had a lovely bed! It made us feel like real Locals to sleep over there and do stuff in the neighborhood and ofcourse the rest of NY!! We loved it!
I highly recommend staying at Alec's apartment if you are looking for a cozy place in the upper east side. It's located in a quiet and safe neighborhood, walking distance to Central Park and the subway. The place has an amazing sound system with a speaker even in the bathroom! Lots of essentials to make your stay enjoyable.
Prior to even getting to the apartment, Alec was extremely helpful and ensuring we had all the information we needed. Upon arriving, there was a detailed information binder on the desk with a map included which we found very useful. It had included information such as coffee and restaurant recommendations all the way through to how to turn on Netflix.
The apartment is great for a couple and is across the street from the pharmacy which has majority of the basics you need and it's a short walk to Central Park. There aren't any elevators but thought this worked to our advantage knowing that we'd burn off some of the calories consumed during our trip to the US.
Thanks again Alec!
We absolutely loved the apartment, clean, comfortable and perfectly situated. Would recommend to everyone. Communication was brilliant too. A fantastic break in NYC.
My stay at Alec's apartment was comfortable, cozy and nice. The apartment is small, but totally fine for 2 people / a couple. It provides a comfortable bed, a cozy livingroom (equipped with tv, dvd player and dvds). The kitchen also provides everything you need. Only the bathroom is really small. Plus, there is no elevator although the apartment is in the 6th floor, and there is no heating system in the apartment (however Alec provided a small manually operating heater, at least).
The apartment is located some blocks from the central park, and right around the corner you can find many shops / cafes / restaurants. You can do everything by walking. Though, if you need a subway station, you have to walk some blocks, too.
All in all it was a nice stay, and Alec a really friendly, flexible and reliable host. He waited for us in the apartment, and he showed us all the important things we have to know.
This is Alec. I'm from upstate NY, living in the city, working in the restaurant world. I play in a band part time, and I love walking around the city whenever I can.
