  • Staying at La Boheme was one of the highlights of my trip to Peru. I would go back in a heartbeat and next time I will stay longer.
THE HOSTS - The whole crew could not be warmer and welcoming. Sara, Amy Sergio and the others truly made an effort to meet our needs and make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Ask them for expert recommendations (Sergio made me a list of what drinks to order at which bars) and you will not be sorry. Huge shout out to Sara for going above and beyond when after a guest injured himself bungee jumping, Sara took him to the hospital to make sure he is ok. Which hotel will do that??

THE ROOM - stayed at 301 for about 10days. I loved my private room which had 2 beds, dressers and a closet It also had its own bathroom and opens out to the balcony. It could use a heater though (or ask for extra blankets if needed). Another thing to take into consideration with this room is that people tend to hang out by the balcony which is right outside the room. I woke up to chatter a few times (but then again I sleep till mid day).

THE HOSTEL - great atmosphere - I loved the common area where I made new friends and chatted with both locals and co-travellers. Great location - in the safe neighborhood of San Blas which is walking distance to plaza de armas. But the area itself is filled with restaurants and bars, I didn't have to venture far. (Green Point is a must while staying in San Blas. Menu of the day is only $3 or 10 soles).

THE BOTTOMLINE - awesome and will stay here again!

  • I definitely recommend this place! The comunal room and the bedrooms are decorated with a peruvian touch and everything is very cozy. The hosts are very nice and helpful. The creperie is very lovely, we had crepes for lunch and they were delicious! The breakfast is very good (one crepe + bread + juice/coffee/tea). Our room was close to a balcony that has a great view of Cusco and you can have a coca tea at any time. I would stay there again!

  • We stayed one night at La Boheme and were very sad to leave! Sergio was WONDERFUL with regards to recommendations, advice, and good company. The night we were there, we had a delicious vegetable crepe and a glass of red wine for dinner, and ate in the the common area while making friends with some of the other guests. Overall, a true hostel experience with a great community feel :) If you're even a bit adventurous, ask directions for the food market nearby, and go make a lunch out of fresh avocados, homemade cheese, pomegranate, and olives. YUM!

Also, we gave Sergio a bunch of the nuts (almonds, cashews, trail mix, etc) we had been lugging around with us because we didn't want them any more, and the next day he brought (email hidden) made in his home town Arequipa! It was super sweet, and I would HIGHLY recommend staying here! Thanks for everything!
