About This Listing
Dining room area, feel free to help yourself to reading my collection of books and comics! Closet is also for your use.
Come stay at my cozy one bedroom apartment in Hyde Park! I live within a ten minute walk of six different bus stops, which makes for easy access to downtown and central Austin. There are also restaurants, a huge grocery store and markets (one which is well known for carrying 500+ beers!), bars, cafes, a park, and more within a ten minute walk. Plenty of parking at the complex at no extra cost. Comfortable for up to three guests with a queen bed, and a futon couch in the living room. Stay here and be close to everything while staying in a great, safe, and friendly neighborhood.
My apartment includes an equipped kitchen (coffee maker, blender, toaster, snacks in the pantry and fridge), plenty of dishes and glasses, etc. I don't have cable but I do have DVDs to choose from, wireless and high-speed internet, and an array of comics and books to read. I have basic toiletries as well as closet space for your belongings. It's a small and peaceful complex with only 12 units, and shared washer and dryer. The complex has chairs and benches to lounge at.
Guests will have access to internet, DVD player/TV, washer and dryer, all kitchen appliances, and bathroom toiletries.
Interaction with Guests
I will be in town staying at a friend's place and if needed can be at the apartment. I can be reached by phone call, text, or email.
Very walkable - groceries, markets, restaurants, bakeries, a large park/playground, bars, video rental shops, and more are all located right outside your door to a 15 minute walk away.
I live by several bus stops - #7, #3, #1L/#1M, #350, #10, and #338.
Smoking is prohibited inside the apartment. Prefer no pets, but would consider cats. Please do not disturb neighbors after hours/no loud parties. Guests agree to return the key and leave the property in the same condition as when rented. Please no hair dye or things that would stain the bathroom/shower area.
Tish is terrific. She is kind and communicative and did everything to make my stay fantastic. The location of the hotel is fantastic in that it is so close to the restaurants on Duval Street. There is also a beautiful Tibetan Buddhist temple next door. It's a convenient location in a quite part of town.
Trish's place was nice, comfortable, and just as advertised. Very quiet complex in a great part of Austin. Trish was immediately responsive by text when we had a problem with the house wifi (it turned out to be my fault- I accidentally turned the router off :) I would stay there again!
Trish was quick to respond to any of my questions and she was conveniently located to everything. During my stay I never met Trish, so it was very much "come as you wish"
We had a fantastic stay in Trish's apartment! It was just as described, very clean and cozy with all of the amenities we needed. The personal touches (food in the fridge, toiletries for us to use, a bookshelf full of comic books) made us feel very much at home. It's in a great location as well. There's a market and smoothie shop just a few blocks away and easy access to the freeway. Trish is super friendly and easy to communicate with, the whole process was very smooth. I would highly recommend a stay in this apartment.

About the Host, Trish
I was born and raised in the states for about eight years (first Vermont, then Alaska), and then moved to Austria, Japan, Canada, and am now living in the incredible city of Austin. I've also gotten the chance to travel around South America, Asia, and Europe.
In my spare time I love checking out live music, reading books and graphic novels, watching movies, having movie/dinner/board game nights, meeting new people, and I'm a big animal lover as well. I'm always eager to meet new people, learn more about the city and share some of my favorite spots in town!
