About this listing

Vacation rental in the heart of Sedona's wine country, overlooking scenic Lower Oak Creek Valley. Peaceful retreat eight miles south of Sedona. 2-bedroom 2-bath home on historic Page Springs Road. Sleeps 4 with 5th on sofa-bed. Six-foot soaking tub. Expansive deck. BBQ. Great views. Centrally-located for Sedona, Jerome, Verde Valley, Oak Creek Canyon. The way Sedona used to be!

The space

The home is fully equipped. Just bring your groceries, settle in, and enjoy a truly special visit to this lovely part of the world. Included in your stay is a complimentary wine-tasting for two (with souvenir wine glasses) at one of our local wineries.

This spacious, magical vacation home sits high above scenic, historic Page Springs, below ancient Sinagua Indian ruins, looking down on the meandering Oak Creek Valley with its abundant, green cottonwood forest.

The 2.5-acre property is bordered by Coconino National Forest to the south and to the west. They say Page Springs today is "like Sedona used to be, 20 years ago." Sedona is often noisy, traffic-infested and anything but peaceful. But, drive a mere 8 miles and you are in a high-desert paradise, the heart of Sedona's famous wine country, with easy access to Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon, Jerome (the famous ghost town - think Halloween 365 days a year!) Tuzigoot National Monument, Old Town Cottonwood, prehistoric petroglyph sites, and numerous other natural and historic wonders.

There is a fold-out couch in the living room for the fifth person for an additional charge of $25/night. We will happily split the king bed in "Bedroom 2" into two twin beds if needed. We provide complimentary wireless internet and long-distance telephone service within the continental US. Cell phone service is little sketchy.

Guest access

You will have the entire house to yourselves. Connie and Andrew are writers, public speakers and filmmakers who travel most of the time. The only off-limits areas are the garage and the locked outdoor storage area in the back.

Interaction with guests

If we are traveling, you will be greeted by our property manager, Ingrid. She will give you the tour of the house and the property, make sure you have all the information you need, and then leave you in peace and privacy to enjoy your stay. Ingrid lives close by, and is available in the event of any questions or emergencies.

The most beautiful, organized, equipped, and appointed home I have booked. An absolute delight. The tranquility, views, and quiet while being convenient to trails, restaurants, wineries and more is truly unmatched. The home is incredibly clean, with a kitchen lacking for absolutely nothing. Beds like those in a five star hotel, and a bathroom so big I got lost! The deck is a stunner, and absolutely huge. The couches are so comfy you may not want to get up at all.... Imagine sipping wine overlooking the stunning Redrock views after a delightful day of biking or hiking on your own private outdoor oasis... a firepit and barbecue are out back where the afternoon sun warms your soul. It truly doesn't get any better than this home.

Rancho Feliz is a beautiful and well-appointed home, away from the traffic and crowds of Sedona, yet, only 10 miles from town. The home has great views, too. It's located on a hillside, overlooking the valley of Page Springs and meandering Oak Creek. The comfortable, secluded setting is just right for a relaxing vacation, including vineyards and wine tasting, just down the street. This is Arizona's wine country.

What a wonderful place to stay - we had a relaxing visit and loved the decor of the home and Ingrid's helpfulness especially. When there was a power outage the first night, Ingrid was fantastic about keeping in touch with us and keeping us posted as to when the power was back on so that we could check in the next day. The location was convenient to Sedona without having to be in the heart of the busy city center. We loved everything about the place and would love to come back!

Thank you very much, Sharyl. What a storm it was the night before your arrival! We are happy that they were able to fix the three downed power poles and you could move in the following day. Thank you for your patience! ~ Ingrid (property manager)

Rancho Feliz was a positive experience in every respect. The pre-stay communication was very smooth, and Ingrid (the property manager) went beyond the call of duty to help us plan a wonderful trip that maximized handicap accessibility, as my sister was nonweight-bearing due to an injury. The location is ideal – close to everything yet very private and natural. Within a mile of the house is Oak Creek Winery, where we took advantage of the free wine tasting coupon provided by Connie and Andrew, a fish hatchery, a bird sanctuary, and a terrific restaurant, Up the Creek. The sights in and around Sedona are truly magnificent, and we hope to be back! Rancho Feliz met out needs in every way… and beyond! All in all, a perfect getaway.
