Peace and quiet

This home is in a quiet area.

Imagine waking up with a view of the rising sun in front of the Ebro River and at the foot of Miravet Castle. In a historic enclave where serenity reigns.

We are Aurelio and Joaquim, and we invite you to enjoy a cozy exclusive apartment, with a lovely room, private bathroom, kitchenette, terrace and garden.

Wake up with the birds, relax reading under the trees next to the ecological pool.

Enjoy the landscape, an invitation to contemplation, the practice of chi kung, yoga or meditation.

The space
Apartment for two adults with magnificent views of the landscape, the mountains and the river Ebro; bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and terrace on one floor of the house with independent accesses that offer total privacy (living room, dining room, covered terrace and garden).

Large bed with double latex mattress of 2x2 m (king-size).

Warm indirect lights and a directional reading light. Bedside table with two drawers and accessories.

Complete wardrobe with 100% cotton sheets, cushions, Icelandic merino wool blanket and goose down duvet; hangers, boot cleaning kit, clothes brush, etc.

Fresco painting on the headboard (two ignudis from the Sistine Chapel, painted by Joaquin) and various author's works.

Complete bathroom with hydromassage shower, bright and well ventilated. Towels and cleaning products and complete bathroom. Scissors and complete first aid kit.

Smoking is not allowed in the entire house. In fact, we do not accept smokers!

Guest access
The room and the entire guest floor are private.

We practice the slow philosophy, calm and tranquility.

We are respectful people, and we use to practice home exchange and accommodation with people from all over the world, cultures and mentalities, something very enriching.

The house has several levels that adapt to the vertical rock of the mountain and dominates, as a balcony, a privileged panoramic view of the Ebro River and the mountains at 180º without obstacles and open to the sky, facing south, sunny and completely oblivious to the sight of neighbors.

The first floor of the house corresponds to the guest apartment. We live on the upper floor.

The entire house commands wonderful views and is often frequented by eagles and falcons that nest in the rock.

* Free Wi-Fi, art books, travel books and classical music is often played at home (or we play ourselves).

The garden is ideal for practicing Chi Kung, Tai Chi, Yoga or mindfulness.

Other things to note
Miravet is a picturesque and beautiful village on the Ebro lands remarkable by its historic, the Moorish quarter with its curious church-mosque and the the imposing Templar castle (XII century) presiding over the grand river landscape surrounded by mountains and fertile fields.

Miravet is also known for its famous pottery, artisan tradition that still thrives; the old ferry, last living vestige of navigation in the Ebro (without motor), the historical facts of the Battle of the Ebro (1936 ), even visible in the ruin of some houses of the old town, and the footprint of the painter Joaquim Mir, who's his work is present in the Reina Sofía Museum and others around the world.

But above all it is a paradise for canoeing practice!

I am local tour guide so I can advise you on what to visit in the region. And we have another monumental house, Palau de Miravet, the Art Center "Joaquim Mir", honoring the great catalan painter.

Where you’ll be

Miravet, Catalonia, Spain

We live in a quiet neighborhood in the old town. Our neighbors are also related to the world of art and various nationalities (France, Netherlands, UK, Germany...).

No kids, no vehicle traffic, just the symphony of birdsong from the river forest.

Even being a tourist town, visitors are usually welcome people interested in the uniqueness of the place, tranquility and history.

But in the village there are a couple of bars and restaurants, a supermarket, pharmacy, medical center and other common services.
