We often have one or two rooms left for last minute booking. One room is in a French Colonial villa. The other room is in a modern style villa.
We often only know the day before arrival which of the two types is free. This gives you a very good deal and it gives us flexibility to try to fill all the rooms.
All rooms have a bathroom, aircon and a fan.
Breakfast is included in the rate. Guests can use the garden and swimming pool.
Guests are welcomed by me or one of my staff. We tell our guests about Siem Reap, the temples and other places of interest.
On request we can organize tours for our guests. If you like to be volunteer at a soupkichen for half a day or more we can be your intermediate.
Séjour très agréable dans un endroit calme. Les chambres sont vraiment top et le personnel très chaleureux. Proximité du centre ville et des temples. Nous recommandons cet établissement sans problème.
Environment is good, service good, the toilet in the rain, is broken.
Very nice and quiet place with beautiful rooms in the middle of a garden.
Location is great, just outside the busy city and you can relax at the swimming pool after the temples visit.
We weren't able to meet Cees since he was in Europe at the time, but we were able to meet the other host, Rahim and the rest of the staff (Unfortunately, I don't know how to spell all their names, but I will write to the best of my knowledge). Anyway, our flight came in very late into the night, but luckily they arranged tuk tuk pick up for us and it was so very easy to get settled in. The next morning, we were greeted by Rahim, Sanorm, and Diang and got some breakfast by the pool. Gorgeous! What I loved about our stay here is that it felt like a home. We got comfortable very easily with all the staff and enjoyed having conversations with all of them. It was very easy to get what you needed because there was always someone available to help. The staff always had a smile on their face and were very eager to get to know all of us. The chef (I don't know how to spell his name-so sorry!) was especially very kind to us. He had come into work to cook a special Khmer lunch for the two of us: fish and sour soup. It was delicious! He even invited us a couple times to hang out with him outside of work. After thinking it over, we accepted an invitation to visit his family's home just outside of town. This was definitely the best part of our trip. We got to meet some local people in their own homes and they welcomed us with homemade food and had a few beers with his friends and family. Everyone was warm and very welcoming. We didn't get to give him a proper goodbye or thank you, so please extend this message to him and the rest of the staff. We loved you all!
This review doesn't even begin to describe how perfect our stay was. If you are looking for quality time with genuine people, then I would recommend staying here. Rahim did a wonderful job taking care of us. All of his dining recommendations were great and he is a great person to talk to. Thank you all for this unforgettable experience. We will never forget it!
We enjoy staying at Cees place, unfortunately we didnt have a chance to meet since he was on holiday as well. But his staff was wonderful, very helpful at all moments and ready to add to our stay in Siem Reap.
We stayed at the villa for 4 nights and we really wanted to enjoy it as much as many others have; unfortunately we were very disappointed. During our stay, staff failed to mention that there was a wedding taking place next door. This meant very loud music would be played continuously from 4am to midnight throughout the weekend. We called the staff when were awoken at 4am and were quite surprised when they mentioned that they had known about it all along. One would think that if they knew a wedding was taking place, why would they place guests in the villa where the wedding was happening on the other side of the wall! We did contact Cees to try and resolve the situation but received no reply. The staff didn't offer us any solutions either so we just had to put up with it.
Although we were disappointed that the staff failed to mention the wedding to us, we have to give credit where it is due. They try to be as helpful as they can despite speaking little english and are so welcoming and friendly. Our driver (Hul) was a lovely man who would make us smile and forget about our lack of sleep!
The villa is nice with a comfy bed and good bathroom. We had poor wifi signal in our villa (villa 1) and found it difficult to connect in both our room and the lobby.
In summary, we would only recommend 'pool and palm' outside of wedding season!
Amazingness from the moment we arrived at the airport. I'm Cambodian so I'm not sure if I'm being bias but everyone on the staff treated me with such genuine respect and love. They were amazing from making sure we were comfortable to booking anything we needed from tours to tuk tuks. Breakfast by the beautiful pool every morning was a great way to start our day. The location to us was perfect...away from the hustle and bustle but a short 5-10 min bike ride to the night market. We even rode our bikes to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. A nice hour bike ride but prob not recommended for the lazy people :)
Our room was clean and spacious and we never felt like we needed to reach out for anything. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for low key but want to be close to the action. It was perfect in so many ways for what we were looking for.
