Val Clemente was very helpful she sent a taxi to pick us up at the airport and she was at the property when we arrived to show us around and she also helped get us a ride at 3:30am to take us to the airport on our departure date. She's very professional and articulates herself very well.
Thanks to Val for making our visit a wholesome experience.
When I arrived I had rented a "room" in a shared apartment and not an apartment which is what the ad had described when I rented this place sight unseen back in June. There are 4 bedrooms and when I arrived 4 other people sharing. Although the sharers were very nice, the point was that there were people and I felt I had been duped. I was told that other similar renters had experienced the same. The shower did not work and when asked to have it fixed this was taken personally by the host and I was asked to leave the premises. I was not impressed with the host at all and would caution any would-be renters to any properties this person is renting out in Rome.
The listing was for a room in a 4-bedroom apartment. The other 3 rooms were occupied, 2 by Brits who were very friendly and offered very helpful tourist suggestions. (I didn't get to talk to the other 2 guys very much, and I never met the host, only talked to her on the phone.) The wifi that was provided with the room stopped working on the 2nd of the 3 nights, but that may not have been her fault... those things happen. Location and price were the main draws.
The reservation was canceled 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The host describes the "studio" as out of a novel in the description, but you could say that the host is also out of a novel, but a strange one.
The description of the tiny room, that the "studio" turned out to be, is by far not met by reality. The room was the dirtiest that I ever set my foot in. The house shoes she provided stank. The provided towels smelled sour. Were the even washed?
Expecting a studio for myself I was very disappointed that I ended up in an apartment that I had to share with 5 others, who were living there on a regular basis. They were not even informed that I came that night. Luckily they were very nice and we got along great, but it could have been the other way round.
The host mainly seems interested in the money she can earn, but takes no interest in the well-being and comfort of her guests.
We had a great experience at Valentina's place!
The apartement is located in a beautiful building, as described in the ad, the location is perfect, easily accessible, walking distance from main attractions.
Trastevere is a great neighborhood, geat nightlife, many local bars and authentic restaurants.
Valentina was very friendly and easy to reach. She recommended places to visit and helped us get around.
We definitely recommend this place!
It is a quiet and lovely place, what you need to relax and enjoy Rome, I am very happy that there lived two weeks. Thank you, Valentine.
