We had a great stay at Mike's apartment. It was the perfect location and comfortably fit four people. Mike was really helpful and communicative and the apartment was a great price for such a vibrant part of Manhattan.
Great location, very clean and quiet appartment, in a live l'y area, thanks mike for everything!
awesome location, loved being only seconds away from so many restaurant and bar choices on 1st Ave and in the East Village in general.
totally not Mike's fault, but I was a bit surprised by how dark the apt was. one def needs the lights on all the time in there. but since you're out all day during the day, it was just a minor thing for me.
apt is super clean and exactly how it looks like in the pics. thumbs up overall during my 10 day stay there.
We enjoyed our stay in Mike’s apartment. Standard is lower than in Europe, but it was a clean and functional flat for us, a family of five. We very much appreciated Mike who quickly answered all our questions and helped us with i.e. taxi booking. The East Village are is vivid full with good restaurants.
Mike was a great host. Everything went smooth from when we arrived to when we left. We had problems with the Internet however mike rectified the problem as soon as he could.
Overall great experience..the apartment is in a great area. Close to subway, bars..
The apartment is two rooms - one bedroom, and then a double bed in the living room area, plus a sofa bed. I would suggest it is only suitable for four (two couples) max - but be aware the couple sleeping in the living area would get little privacy. Ideal location for East Village, SoHo and the L Train to Williamsberg etc. Mike was responsive and communicative.
I booked an apt for 5 in East Village for Halloween. Mike changed our apt when we landed in New York but it was very close to the other one I booked. This apt was a little bit bigger and the location was great (near Saint Mark's place). It was on the second floor (no lift) in a old building. The apt was clean. Kitchen and toilette had everything you need for your trip in NY. There are only two negative things. During our last night there wasn't hot water in the shower but the day after it was already fixed. During the first two days the heating didn't work and it was quite cold outside. Mike brought an electric heating for us and it was sufficient for the apt. Mike was always in contact with me and he was very easy to reach by phone or email.
Me, my wife, our 6-month old baby and my mother stayed in this apartment in October 2013 and we were very satisfied. The location is absolutely perfect in the middle of everything and it's easy to access as it's on the first floor. Mike was a perfect host arranging a baby crib and a baby booster for us and he quickly responded to all my questions. The pictures are very accurate so don't expect a big apartment. I would say it's perfect for 2 couples as long as you are ready to share bathroom. I highly recomend this apartment!
East Village is really a nice place to stay. Lots of restaurants, small shops and amazing streetlife evereywhere. Mikes apartment is near the metro, wellequipped, fresh and with nice beds. Though it's a small apartment, we were 6 persons who stayed there without any problems at all. Mike is a very professional host, the apartment was spotless when we arrived and Mike was there to greet us, he answered all our questions during the week by email and is very helpful. I would definitly recommend Mike as a host and his apartment as exellent place to stay in New York.
We spent 10 days at Mike's apt, which is located in East Village, one of the most exciting neighborhoods in the city with nice restaurants of all kinds outside the door. Mike was a perfect host, always available and responsive. The apartment was clean and organized. Thanks Mike!
