This is a beautiful modern 2 bedroom apartment in a converted warehouse, one of the original Williamsburg south side artists buildings.
The apartment is a 4th floor walk-up and well worth the haul through these old halls to get above the city at the end of the day. High ceilings, original plank hardwood floors, huge windows and great natural sunlight, this cozy pad was redone right in a building crawling with character.
There are two spacious bedrooms flanking the living area, each equipped with queen beds and a small desk, as well as full closets with shelving and hanging space. They each have a nice sized, south facing window and receive beautiful daytime sunlight. Additionally, the main living area is equipped with a nice convertible full size sofa bed that sleeps two people comfortably. The bathroom is clean and equipped with, well, the usual, and has a shower/tub combo.
The kitchen is cozy but equipped for light meal preparation and serving, and we keep a hot water kettle and coffee press on the counter at all times. Use this space as much or as little as you like. There is a bar height table and stools, useful for dinner or as an office space. Overall, the living area is open and bright, and if you wanted to, you could probably squeeze four people in for some yoga :)
Just a ten minute walk to the Marcy Ave J/M subway line, this neighborhood is on the quieter south side of the Williamsburg bridge, but just blocks from the the up and coming Broadway revitalization district. Sidewalk dining, local shopping, bars o' plenty, this side of the hood boasts quick access to the waterfront and is a 15 minute walk to the heart of "new" Williamsburg and Bedford Avenue.
I stayed at Nathan's place with five girlfriends for a NYC weekend in April. It's a great space, in a great location, a short walk to Marcy station or to the Williamsburg Bridge if you prefer to walk to Manhattan. Nathan is a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful. The place itself is very minimal and tidy, comfortably slept 6 of us thanks to the futon. It was exactly what we needed for our NYC girls getaway.
We enjoyed our stay in Nathans appartement very much. The appartement is close to metro, good restaurants and a good supermarket. Though it's close to everything, the street is very quiet, and we felt safe even when we came home late at night.
Nathan is easy to communicate with, and it was easy to check in and out of the appartement. He recomended some nice restaurants in the area, and dining at "Giando on the water" 10 minutes walk from the appartement, was a great experience.
Thank you for a great stay.
Nathan was great. He was easy to communicate with on getting into the space. He helped my co worker out with a space the night before our rental here started too, which was super nice. The flat is perfect for people that need two bedrooms too! Modestly but cozily furnished, we really enjoyed our stay. The bathroom could have used a once over, but that was about it. Oh! Bring a sleeping mask, the morning sun was very bright. Super close to Williamsburg, you can walk to anything in about 10 minutes. Comfy beds!!!
The apartment is very nice, comfy and clean, offering a more silent stay than being in the middle of Williamsburg's vibrant center of bars, shops and cafés. Although we had some hiccups with the booking and the key that gave us a hard time opening the door Nathan was incredibly helpful and accommodating with our stay at his apartments. Check in and check out was very easy and we had a great time during our stay. To your following guests: enjoy your stay and thank you Nathan!
We were slated to head to Brooklyn right as a snow storm was hitting the east coast. Not only was Nathan incredibly accommodating regarding his cancellation policy, but he talked us through potential options and what to expect. We were able to make it up in the end and we are so glad we did. Nathan's place was as wonderful as his pictures and all 6 of us (3 couples) were comfortable in his place. It was clean, nicely furnished, and served as a great home-base while we explored the area. In addition, Nathan was great about communicating with us before, during, and as we were leaving about how to "check-in" and answering any other questions we might have. Thanks for a great stay Nathan!
Nathan's place was a great spot for myself and my co-workers in town for a job. The apartment was very clean and well kept - beds were super comfy, heat in apartment was plentiful (so cold outside during our visit!!!) and made a great spot for us to crash in after a long day of working in town.
Would definitely stay again - check in and out with Nathan was a breeze. Super helpful / quick getting back to me about questions. Thanks Nate for having us!
Nathan's flat was perfect for our weekend stay in NYC. It was close to the subway and many nice cafes and restaurants were within walking distance. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was nicely equipped for small meals and overall the flat was very clean.
Nathan was an excellent host! He maintained consistent communication throughout the whole stay and provided an excellent apartment. I would definitely stay by Nathan again.
Nathan's apartment was great ! Very good place for 5 people, very well located in a quiet area, not far from the hip Williamsburg.
It was very easy to commute to Manhattan and JFK with the subway, and Brooklyn by bus or the super fast East River ferry, which stops just down the street.
Nathan was also easy to communicate with before and during our stay.
Overall a great experience :)
Nathan was a great host... this is a charming place to stay. The home was clean and accomodating. Pictures are accurate. We were THRILLED with everything... :) It is 0.6 mi to the subway- easy access. We felt safe in the neighborhood- even at night. The only consideration to anyone thinking about it is: there are a couple flights of steep stairs to get to the apt. However, we considered it our gym membership for the day. The four of us were thrilled in every way with the accomodations and would recommend them to anyone looking for a place to stay.
