About this listing

Our beautiful one bedroom garden bungalow feels like a cozy cabin in the middle of the city. It comfortably fits two and is centrally located on a quiet block just a stones throw from trendy Divisadero shops and a short stroll to Golden Gate park or Alamo Square.

A comfy queen sized bed and sits below a stained glass window.

The Space

Our unit is the bottom floor of a three story turn-of-the-century Victorian on a tree-lined block. Surrounded by some of San Francisco's best grocery stores (BiRite), shops and restaurants (Nopa), there are a number Muni public transit lines within short walking distance. A slightly longer walk and you could be standing in front of the DeYoung, the Academy of Sciences, Hayes Valley, Haight Ashbury, the Painted Ladies and plenty more.

We are looking for friendly, quiet, respectful folks who want to enjoy this absolutely adorable and comfy space that we call home while we are away. Please let us know a little something about you and what brings you to San Francisco. We're happy to answer any questions you may have about the unit or the Bay Area!

NOTE TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN BOOKING FOR THE SUPER BOWL: If you are looking to host a party before, during or after the big event, look elsewhere. This is not a suitable party location and we ask that no additional guests be brought to the property on that weekend. This is a great place to recharge from the events going on elsewhere in SF and in Santa Clara (45 miles south of here).

Guest Access

You have the entire bottom floor of the three unit building to yourself with private entrance and access to the shared backyard. Above you, two friendly families (one with a dog).

Interaction with Guests

Either we or one of our lovely neighbors will be able to meet you and show you around in person.

The Neighborhood

Just (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) any of these spots for exact locations and hours:

$$$ Nopa (Everything is simply fantastic), Bar Crudo (great, mostly raw seafood)
$$ Nopalito (Mexican), Little Star Pizza (known for their deep dish),Ragazza (great Italian), 4505 (BBQ), Breanda's Meats and Three (Southern(URL HIDDEN)Lets face it, not a whole lot of cheap food in San Francisco but you can grab cheap tacos at El Merchado (attached to La Urbana) and affordable Ethiopian at Club Wazima

And get an ice cream at BiRite for dessert. Great (albeit $$$) grocery store.

The Page - locals dive bar. Gets really busy on weekends
Club Waziema - cheap dive bar popular with hipsters that also serves Ethiopian food
Madrone - art bar. Depending on the evening, there could be a show, live band or a dance party
Bar 821 - small but cute hole in the wall
Fly Bar - beer and wine only, pool table in the back. Also serves food.
Mini Art Bar - pretty much that
Nopa - has great drinks if you are lucky enough to get a seat at the bar

The Mill - Good coffee, great toast, long lines
Mojo Cafe - Part cafe, part bike shop with outdoor seating
Matching Half - Slightly off the beaten path

BiRite - Just down the street, its a mecca for all things SF

Check out what is happening at The Independent just down on Divisadero. Madrone also has live music from time to time.

You can walk to Alamo Square (Full House houses), Haight Ashbury, Hayes Valley or Golden Gate Park (with the Academy of Sciences and the DeYoung Museum) within 20mins.

There's a farmers market on Grove Street between Divisadero and Broderick on Sundays.

Getting Around

The 21 MUNI line will take you downtown (head towards Divisadero). Cabs are everywhere and fairly easy to hail at large intersections. Lyft line and Uber pool are $7-10 anywhere in the city
