There is a single person supplement. It is £70 per person for single occupancy. Under 5's are charged £5 per night and under 12's £10 when sharing with their parents.

Guest Access

The guests are able to also use the lovely dining room, library area and sitting room. Outside there are open gardens to the front and a quiet walled courtyard to the rear which the guests have full access to.

Interaction with Guests

One of us always greet the guests and offer them a tea or coffee with a little treat. There are tea and coffee making facilities in both rooms. We give guests advice on the area if they wish. We serve breakfast and usually have a little chat. Unless guests like to chat more we leave them in peace to enjoy their stay as we have our own separate staircase and living room.

The Neighborhood

Kirkby Thore is a small village with one shop, church, school and bistro. It is a safe rural is situated in the beautiful Eden valley, yet only 20 minutes to Lake Ullswater and close to the Pennines. The hall is 2 minutes from the A66 and 10 minutes from the M6, Penrith and Appleby making it a very convenient stopover location.

There are mainline trains to Penrith from London, only just over 3 hours. There are trains to Appleby and buses to Kirkby Thore approx every 90 minutes.
