  • We had a great stay and enjoyed the House and Newark. So many places of interest and lots of Old Buildings a very interesting town. Our Hosts were perfect and shared their knowledge of the town with us. They made us feel very welcome in their home and our rooms were just perfect. Would recommend this as a very good place to stay.

Thank you both, it was a pleasure having you here - we're so pleased you explored the town. We appreciated the coasters too!

  • This is the most beautiful place to stay. We were warmly welcomed. The room was elegantly furnished and the private sitting/ dining room was just stunning. I also loved the collection of old needlepoint samplers and ornaments. Rowan's mother cooked a spectacular breakfast and also showed us around the rest of the home which is beautiful also. I would highly recommend this B & B.

  • Just lovely! The house and room were beautiful - I felt very much at home.

I can't say enough nice things about the hosts - they were friendy, extremely accommodating and really did go above and beyond to make sure that I had a great stay.

    Would definitely recommend it.

Thanks Katy - you're welcome back anytime!

  • Our stay with Rowan and her lovely family was our Christmas gift to each other. We've traveled extensively and have enjoyed many unique accommodations throughout the world. Our stay with the Cozens was the find of this decade. Godfrey, Sylvia, Emily, Rowan et al. were warm and welcoming but never imposing. The house is absolutely amazing—immaculately clean and in a perfect location. We walked into town, leaving our car in their off-street parking. Jessie, possibly the most adorable dog ever, didn't give us as much of her time as we would have liked, but there will be a next time! We plan to use Airbnb again based solely on our experience with the Cozens.

Thank you Holly, it was our pleasure to have you and Egils in the house and we were so touched to be chosen for a Christmas present - you're welcome back anytime. Happy New Year to you both!

  • What a find! A perfect haven of peace and calm with not a single detail missed from tea/coffee making facilities in the room through to the supply of a bath robe, shampoo and shower gel.

The breakfast - taken in a separate room next to a large window - is excellent value for money and deserves to be unhurried. Set out in front of you, a feast for the eyes and palate, it's easy to imagine that you're the master or mistress of the grand Georgian house. Much of it is home-made.

Rowan and other family members were really friendly and helpful but at the same time very discreet. On this occasion I was feeling very travel weary so really appreciated that. Equally, if you're after intelligent conversation - which I happily sampled - that's here too.

Ideal for musicians on the road - Rowan's a musician herself - there's practice space available.

I absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back for a longer stay next year.

  • Everything was great. Only thing in case you're not good with dogs, they have a lovely dog and it's not much good to find out when you arrive.

Hi - we do let people know about the dog in the info and she can easily be shut in another part of the house if anyone isn't a doggy person. Thanks for the note Daniel.

  • This B and B was a DREAM. A proper B&B experience which is exactly what i wanted. The room had everything and the house was beautiful. My highlight was breakfast- in the lovely drawing room with a table right next to the window. A lovely couple. The house was SO Peaceful. For breakfast my place was laid with a chair like a throne and in front of me spread...greek yoghurt, cereals, tea pot (with cosy and hot water refill), croissants, brioche, honey, jam, just for £5. (i think cooked may have been more, but i would definitely recommend any breakfast here!). Totally delightful, and they even allowed my friends to get changed in my room before we headed off to our wedding. A real resting place.
