Interaction with Guests
Interaction with guests is completely at your discretion. I've lived in Charlottesville for 30 years, so am happy to answer any questions and offer local tourist advice, or I can stay out of the way. I always sleep elsewhere so guests can have privacy of the whole house. Occasionally, I stay in my Lionel Train hobby house in the back yard, but your privacy in the house is assured.
Across the street from a nature preserve. Country feel in the city. It is a 15 minute walk to some of Belmont's most exciting restaurants: Beer Run, Mas Tapas, Tavola, and the Local. Thirty minute walk to the famous downtown mall.
Two city bus lines within four or five blocks.

David kept in good touch with us prior to our arrival and all was ready for us when we arrived. There were so many extras, we weren't sure if we were meant to partake in them all.
Had a great experience staying At David's house. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay again. The house is beautifully, cozy and clean.
The house was wonderful. Everything that was promised and more. It was too cold to walk many places, but downtown and Beer Run were close enough and those were the only places we headed. Quiet neighborhood. Lovely. Did not meet David, but he was very helpful and even provided some breakfast supplies!
This house was great and perfect for our weekend stay in Charlottesville. It was very comfortable and clean. It had everything and more that we needed!
We are moving to the area in the spring and wanted a base to get out and see neighborhoods and local color. This was a comfortable little house in a quiet part of town. David was just headed out for the weekend as we arrived and he gave us a quick tour and showed us where to find his homemade granola! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was great as we didn't want to eat all our meals out. As the weather was drizzly and cold during some of our visit we spent some time just hanging around the house reading, and took a walk to a local pizza place (Belmont Pizza) during a snow flurry. All in all a great experience!
Had a chance to stay at David's home this weekend, and it did not disappoint! Great location to downtown and the wineries. Highly recommended.
