This light appartment has two en-suite living rooms, a bedroom, and a small bathroom and a kitchen with a table for 5 people. The bedroom has a 120 wide bed but also an extra madrass and a sofa in the livingroom.
Furthermore there is the best view over the city from the sunny balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee and watch the Tivoli fireworks around midnight.
The apartment is perfectly located in the middle of a quiet street and the street is centrally located close to the city and the city lakes and parks in the centre of Copenhagen. The area of Frederiksberg is cosy and easy to get around on foot. Close to the apartment you will find parks, kiosks, post office and several supermarkets and restaurants.
It takes 15-20 minutes walk to the town square and 'Nørreport station'.
Near 'Nørreport' you will find the food market “Torvehallerne”.
A really wonderful apartment in a great location. A friend of mine was staying in the apartment with his wife and they both enjoyed having it as their home for 2 weeks. Mette (Grethe's daughter) took fantastic care of everything!
Grethe kindly arranged to accommodate for my solo two-night stay on very short notice and replied to my inquiry with all the necessary information very quickly.
The apartment building is situated within walking-distance of the metro Forum and was easy to find. The apartment itself is on the top floor and the building has no elevator.
It is very spacious and warmly decorated (there's even a stand-up piano). The balcony looks towards Central Copenhagen and there are no significantly taller buildings around so there is a feeling of privacy.
If I were to point out a drawback (other than the lack of elevator, which is par for the course), it would be the shower. In a design that is common to many European top-story apartments (such as the French studette - but this apartment is much bigger), the shower and toilet are put together in a small room in a DIY fashion. That said, it did not bother me.
The location is good as there are many interesting places to explore just north of Åboulevard.
Overall I had a very pleasant experience and would strongly recommend the apartment as a base for someone who is perhaps looking to explore Nørrebro or simply does not feel the need to stay in Central Copenhagen.
