This is an excellent apartment in a fantastic location. The drive to Yellowstone National Park is stunning. We really enjoyed the peace & quiet and it was so nice to talk to Bonnie.
Bonnie is a very friendly and interactive hostess, enjoying getting to know her guests and quickly establishing a comfortable rapport. The location is very quiet with long distance views of beautiful mountains from the yard. The bnb is a very large space with living area, large bedroom and bath and cooking, eating area.
We truly enjoyed meeting Bonnie. She helped us with local info, and her place is beautiful and clean. We would love to meet up with her again. Our visit was enhanced by her recommendations, and we especially enjoyed the hot spring river. Bonnie is an excellent host.
A few days before our planned arrival Bonnie sent us an e-mail explaining how to get to her from Whitefish MT (our previous stay).
Once at her place she welcomed us warmly and showed us around.
It 's spacious! There 's a heap of info about the park and the surrounding area and Bonnie knows a lot about that too.
She arranged breakfast for the first morning - doing groceries needs planning as there are no shops nearby, although the gas station down the road could keep you alive if you don't mind eating prepacked burgers all the time!
We cooked our meals in the kitchen (needs some creativity with the gear) and ate outside watching the sun go down behind the mountains.
Bonnie is a lively host who will check if all is OK every day. She will help you getting the most out of your trip.
Bonnie is located east of the park, between Cody and the East Park Entrance. To visit the park: plan the driving as that will take several hours of your day.
Take a day to see Cody - it's nice!
We had 4 amazing days staying at Bonnie's place. Bonnie is a wonderful host; she gave us a warm welcome, explained everthing about the house and gave us so much helpful information about what to see in Yellostone National Park.
The apartment is huge, consisting of the whole base floor of the house, including a spacious conservatory. It's very clean, safe, comfortabel, quiet and well maintaned, you'll feel at home immediatley. There is a lot of information about YNP profided.
Bonnie's house is situated perfectly. From the garden you can overlook the valley and the 45 minute drive to YNP east entrence is breath taking.
I would highly recommend this place. If I will ever go back to YNP again, I would defenitely return here.
Bonnie, thanks again for all the nice things you shared with us. Say hello to Jessie.
We had a wonderful time at Bonnie's. Not only is it an easy drive to Yellowstone and Cody (don't miss the Rodeo!) but it's also a very beautiful valley in its own right. The flat was perfect for our family of four: comfortable and a bit quirky (our son loved the arrowheads and the telescope). You could never tire of sitting outside looking at this view...
Bonnie was a relaxed, kind and engaging host, from telling us where the best fishing spots were to explaining cowboy couture and introducing us to home fried chicken and moose tracks ice cream. Five days seemed too short, and we were all sad to leave.
We had a truly wonderful stay with Bonnie. Made in part by the beautiful surrounding areas of the stay and having Bonnie as our host. She was there on arrival to help us settle in and give us advice about activities as day trips to helping us take care of our pup. The apartment is well appointed, peaceful and comfortable with all we needed and a few first morning supplies were provided as well. I wouldn't hesitate to come back and get to know the area even better. Thank you Bonnie for sharing your home and your knowledge with us.
About the Host, Bonnie
As a fellow traveler, I appreciate lovely, reasonably priced, non-commercial places to stay where your experience is enhanced by a hospitable host to help you find your way around and/or by input from a community like airbnb. Being shy to talk with complete strangers while traveling, the personal touch of airbnb communication makes all the difference for me. I love fresh, well-prepared food, wide open spaces, unexpected adventures. As a social policy junkie, I'm intrigued and open to hearing what others think about the world we share.
