Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • We felt very lucky to be able to stay in this lovely and very spacious ground floor apartment. Bonnie was exceptionally helpful and accommodating from our reservations to our check out. We agree with other reviews that the pictures are great, but the place is even better.
If you have any mobility issues, this is also a good spot because you can park right near the door and it is all on one level. There is a large, workshop/kitchen/viewing area/mud-room that you enter first and then you go through sliding glass doors into the carpeted living space. If you want to run in and out between the apartment and the expansive views outside, I suggest that you pack some easy slip on shoes, since you will want to remove your shoes at the sliders before entering the actual living space and life would be easy-peasy if you had slip-ons for coming and going quickly and easily in and out of the apartment to grab your coffee or your camera or what have you. There is a picnic table in the yard for watching the amazing sky-line change all around you. We were lucky enough to catch a rainbow on the day we arrived and again on the morning of our departure.
We wish that we had more time to just relax and enjoy the stars while we were there, but we spent long wonderful days touring Yellowstone and one great day in Cody as well. On the roads going to and from the park (but not yet inside it) we saw a great horn sheep and lamb trotting along behind on the hillsides. We saw a pronghorn on the way out of Cody and on the days that we got up and out early, we saw many, many deer out in the fields. Of course, in the park, we saw amazing views and animals as well.
From Bonnie's place it is maybe a half-hour/45 minutes to the entrance as people have said, and then another 30 minutes or so on top of that to the first stop in the park, which is Fishing Bridge where there is a visitor's center, a shop, restaurant and gas station.
We were very pleased to have had such a bright, kind and helpful host for our first trip out west. We liked the flexibility to be able to go toward the park or toward Cody without too much travel time. We even got to meet and chat with her friendly neighbors.
Thanks Bonnie for all of your help and support and best of luck with everything!

  • We cannot say enough good things about our stay with Bonnie. The area was stunningly beautiful. Her view is exactly what the picture shows...only better. It was easy to find with our (website hidden) map. We liked that it was so much closer to Yellowstone that Cody...saved us some time and driving. Our accommodations were very comfortable and we settled in very quickly. The bed was comfortable (Important!), the kitchen area was large and well stocked, the living room was very comfortable. Bonnie was able to give us great advice as to what to see in Yellowstone and beyond as it was our first time in the area. Since we live so far away (Southern CA), we had anticipated that we would not return to this area, but after staying with Bonnie for 5 days, we feel we have a new friend and want to return. Plus there's a ton more to see and do. We unreservedly recommend staying with Bonnie!

  • We had a wonderful time at Bonnie's little piece of heaven. She (email hidden) to share. Bonnie is a great lady. We hope to return some day.

  • Bonnie was such a thoughtful and great host. The location is absolutely perfect for a quiet retreat. It has incredible views.
We had the whole downstairs apartment which was absolutely great. It's spacious and comfortable.
The property is about 30 minutes from the East Entrance to Yellowstone and 30 minutes or so to Cody. Not much of anything else in between other than the beautiful country.

  • We had a great stay! Bonnie was a very thoughtful host and we enjoyed getting to know her and Jesse (her dog). The location couldn't be more perfect: 35 minute drive from the Yellowstone East entrance and a 30 minute drive into Cody, WY. The area is perfect for enjoying the view. We didn't do much as we were at the tail end of a long road trip, but it (email hidden) to relax and (email hidden) of the world. We would recommend this place and this host to anyone!

  • Unfortunately our stay with Bonnie was ruined by the US Government shutdown as we were due to land in Jackson Hole and driving to Bonnie's through Yellowstone. The shutdown meant a drive of 6.5 hours instead of 2-3 through the park, meaning that because of when we landed there was no way we could get to Bonnie that night so stayed in Jackson.
The next day we took the long drive to Cody, making a day of it as we couldn't go to Yellowstone and got to Bonnie in the evening after a meal in Cody.
Bonnie (email hidden), really apologetic of the problems, which obviously weren't her fault, really welcoming and accommodating. She had got us some breakfast items ready for us as we'd been due to drove straight from the airport.
Bonnie gave us lots of options of things we could do with Yellowstone being closed, she even offered to lend us her 4x4. Unfortunately there was a huge storm due (huge in a UK sense, normal for Wyoming) so 4-6 inches of snow where due the next day, meaning we woke up with the prospect of being stuck at Bonnie's as we were due to fly out the following day at 1pm, with the 6.5 hour drive that meant we'd be getting up very early to get there and driving at night in snow.
So we had to take the very tough decision to forego our third night at Bonnie's (after missing out on our first night as well) and make the trip back to Jackson and pay for another nights accommodation.
Bonnie was great during all this, she (email hidden) for the short time we stayed with her and will definitely be staying with her when we try to get back to the US to go to Yellowstone.

  • What a beautiful location! And Bonnie is almost worth the stay just to get to know her! As noted, it is a bit of a drive to the park, but stunning, and well worth it. We almost enjoyed driving up that canyon as much as Yellowstone. In addition, it is in a great location for Cody, and driving the Bear Tooth Highway (a must!). We really felt like we had the place to ourselves, and it (email hidden) to relax in between adventures. We used multiple Airbnb places on this trip, and had nothing but good experiences, but Bonnie's was our favorite!

  • If you enjoy peace & quiet, gorgeous & ever-changing views of the mountains, and more stars at night than you can imagine - this is the place! It was such a pleasure meeting Bonnie, Jessie, & JJ and having the opportunity to stay at (email hidden) location. Bonnie was a very accommodating host; the lower level of her home was lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable, quiet, and restful stay. Bonnie made us feel at home in more ways than one. She was gracious, respectful & considerate, and very hospitable.

If we could give this experience more than 5 stars we would! This was, by far, our favorite Airbnb to date! Can’t wait to visit again! Thank you, Bonnie, for welcoming us into your beautiful home and for being (email hidden)!

  • Bonnie (email hidden)e very helpfully showed us trail maps and gave park advice. She even gave us a ride up to a trailhead behind her house, from which we had a lovely hike to the top of Table Mountain.

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked for light cooking. The electric skillet worked great for making quesadillas for dinner and would be excellent for pancakes, etc. Would definitely stay again!

As a fellow traveler, I appreciate lovely, reasonably priced, non-commercial places to stay where your experience is enhanced (email hidden) to help you find your way around and/or by input from a community like airbnb. Being shy to talk with complete strangers while traveling, the personal touch of airbnb communication makes all the difference for me. I love fresh, well-prepared food, wide open spaces, unexpected adventures. As a social policy junkie, I'm intrigued and open to hearing what others think about the world we share.
