The bed is a latex full size bed. We live within walking distance of the center of town and a short drive, 2 1/4 mile walk or bike ride from Kripalu & Tanglewood. Shakespeare and Co is 1 1/2 miles away
Our home is lovely, quiet, and comfortable.
We have 3 rooms available. They share two bathrooms. Our rooms are comfortable and well decorated. WiFi is high speed.
Guests have access to the living room, back deck, garden and kitchen. They may cook if they want. Just clean up afterwards and remove all items from the refrigerator before checking out.
Interaction with Guests
We tend to be very busy so we generally do not interact much with guests. Probably the most interaction in general occurs in the kitchen or outside on the deck.
We love our garden and the town of Lenox and its surroundings are beautiful. Our neighborhood is quiet yet close to the town center. Stockbridge, Pittsfield, and Great Barrington are all within a 20 minute drive. Kripalu is just a short drive (2 1/4 mile), a long walk or a bike ride from our house. Shakespeare and Company is 1 1/2 miles away. Very definitely walkable.
Generally people fly into Bradley Airport in Hartford CT because it tends to be less expensive than Albany Airport. Peter Pan bus lines drops you off in town. Our suggestion would be to rent a car or you can rent a bike at the Arcadian Shop 91 Pittsfield Rd, Lenox, MA 01240, United States

Great place to stay. Lovely home, relaxedatmosphere host was very accommodating, let me use the room for the afternoon. Enjoyed the tango music and dance lessons that was happening downstairs.
Definitely will come back in the spring
I will definitely stay here again. The room was exactly as shown, very comfortable and every need met. Wonderful host who went above and beyond to help me settle in. The house was beautiful and I easily used the kitchen in the morning to fix a simple meal. Thanks very much!
Jackie's place was exactly as described and was a cozy home during some brutally cold winter days. The bedroom was very comfortable and had everything we needed in terms of storage, towels, and information about the house and neighborhood. The housemates were very nice and overall the house was always very quite. The washer and the dryer in the basement was also a huge help half way through our stay and there was lots of room in the fridge for us to use. We also used the electric tea kettle on most nights for some bedtime tea. Overall a wonderful stay and lovely home just minutes from our workshop at Kripalu.
hi farah and daniel, thank you so much for the lovely review. i love that you made our home into your away home…. it means that you were comfortable there. i am in buenos aires now and miss the berkshires and my home very much but i am happy that others are using it and adding to the wonderful warm vibe that the house seems to radiate. jackie
Overall, my boyfriend and I had a very positive experience staying at Jackie and Paul's place in Lenox. There was a small mishap upon our arrival; the door code wasn't programmed correctly and we were unable to get into the house and were unable to get in touch with Paul. This wouldn't have been an immediate problem except that it was one of the coldest nights of the year. Luckily, Jackie, who was in Argentina, happened to be available via Internet and was very quick to respond to our messages. She gave us an alternate code, which worked, and was very apologetic. The next morning, Paul left us some delicious local chocolates as an apology. The house itself is very lovely and well-equipped. Our room was clean, warm, cozy, and quiet. Location-wise, we couldn't have asked for anything better. The house is close to a very quaint and charming center of town with many delicious restaurants and cute shops. Paul was kind and offered restaurant recommendations. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here and hope to return soon.
Another wonderful stay! During my last visit, I didn't get a change to meet anyone in the house. This time around, I had the pleasure to meet Paul. A perfect, quiet place to call home base. We had some snow fall, and Paul did a great job keeping the parking spaces shoveled and safe. Thank you!
Great location. Clean room and well organized. Paul was very helpful and Allways available. Loved the stay in Lenox.
Another peaceful and comfortable stay at Jackie's lovely home! This is my go-to place when I need to be in Lenox for work. Looking forward to my next visit.

Paul and I just turned 60 and we are starting to compile our bucket list. Of course one item is travel and we hope to use airbnb soon. Meanwhile we have a large home with many rooms which are vacant because our children have left the nest.
We are very busy with Argentine Tango and our new grandchildren so we tend to be out a lot. Also our son is a chef so we visit his restaurant often.
Argentine Tango is our passion. We teach in Northampton MA, Lenox, and Hartford CT. Going to the beach is another favorite pastime and we tend to avoid touristy hotels and areas. Cancun is not for us.
We are both avid readers and our favorite radio shows are Radiolab and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me on NPR. I am a sci fi/fantasy addict and would love to find more time to play Dungeons and Dragons. Yes, I am 60 years young.
The other member of our household is Wegian (a Norwegian Elkhound). He is lovable and people fall in love with him instantly.
Both my husband and I feel that happiness is having gratitude for the things in your life. We also believe that the examined life is a life of growth as long as you don't become too critical. Also we celebrate diversity. How could we not with the kind of extended family we have. It's all good. :-)
