Up the mountain, in South Ogden's peaceful Woodland Estates, you'll feel like you're on vacation every day. Every window and glass door capture full mountain and/or valley views. The home is upscale, spacious and child-friendly. Minutes to Snowbasin ski resort, Lagoon, mountain biking, hiking trails. Coffee shops, stores, restaurants are 5 minutes away. Maximum occupancy is 15, day or night. Please do not book if you will have more than 15 at any time.

The space
The many glass doors and wide windows give the house a light, cheerful atmosphere. The home has three levels, with plenty of space for gatherings large and small. Four wood-burning fireplaces grace the home. A mother-in-law apartment on the lowest of the three floors (100 percent above ground) makes the house especially useful for extended families or large groups.
Want to bring your best friend, a dog? That is usually okay, with query to owner in advance and payment of a $100 per dog fee. No other types animals allowed. Please honor this rule; we have heard the story previously that guests "did not know" their relative or friend was bringing a pet. The result will be eviction without refund.
Top floor has three bedrooms with beds for nine people, two full baths. Downstairs, on the main floor, there are two living rooms, a kitchen, dining room, half bath and laundry. The glass doors of three rooms on the main floor lead to a long deck along the entire back of the house. Three outdoor tables and two charcoal barbecues are available; past guests have enjoyed eating meals and drinking coffee on the deck while seeing panoramic views of the mountains and valley, the Great Salt Lake and striking pink sunsets.
On the lowest level, which is completely above-ground, there is the playroom and the mother-in-law apartment. Children will have fun in the separate playroom, with a large built-in castle and dress-ups for knights and princesses. Sliding glass doors lead to the backyard with a tree house and slide.

The home is near the entrance to I-84, the most hassle-free road to the Snowbasin Ski Resort. It is easy and safe to traverse -- no narrow winding portions, or hairpin turns on high cliffs. It is always plowed. You won't have to fight traffic or wait at red lights, unlike those who travel from other parts of Ogden or Layton. Door to door, you'll arrive in 25 minutes at the resort, host to the 2002 winter Olympics.
