  • Perfect! Romantic! Rustic! Genuine!

Vicki was there to greet us and in touch via phone, my ex-girlfriend now fiancee, (we got engaged while staying in Savannah this weekend!) and I had an amazing time. I didn't propose in the (very large) cottage, but it was a crucial part of our engagement weekend. We will certainly return!

  • "Lara's Cottage" was absolutely charming, as promised! The location was beyond compare- the Davenport and Kehoe homes are practically neighbors! Mrs. Vicki greeted me, upon arrival, to give me a tour of the cottage and all of its amenities; she was a most gracious hostess. It was a refreshing treat to find fresh strawberries, juice, jam, and muffins in the fridge! In addition to all of the Southern hospitality shown by my hostess, I was also greeted by the many Spirits residing at the cottage- within minutes of my arrival! I have a plethora of stories to last me a lifetime....but some things are best experienced for one's self! I encourage the reader to step into the past, the charm, and the experience of "Laura's Cottage".

  • Laura's Cottage is simply amazing. Walking through the door is like stepping back in time (only with the benefits of WiFi, a modern kitchen, etc.). It's welcoming, cozy, and in a great location for walking around the historic district. There's a lot to see in Savannah, but be sure to reserve time for sipping coffee on the front porch of Laura's Cottage. You'll love it.

Also, Vicki is wonderful to deal with and makes the start-to-finish process a breeze. Thanks, Vicki!

  • Everything about our stay at Laura's Cottage was absolutely perfect. What a beautiful, quiet place to call home for a few days! The cottage is so cozy and comfortable, and the fridge is stocked with breakfast foods, juice and milk to get you started. Vicki and Greg share some local suggestions and tips in a handy booklet, and there are even movies in the cupboard that take place in - or were filmed in Savannah. The cottage is perfectly located within walking distance to just about everything. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience in this beautiful city - I only wish we had more time there!

  • Laura's Cottage was the perfect place to stay during my vacation to Savannah. It was two girlfriends and myself and there was ample room to make yourself at home in the cottage. The location was perfect- we walked to everything. The house was exciting in all its paranormal glory and we did have some interesting/ questionable experiences :). Laura's Cottage was perfect and we'd stay here again and recommend to friends!

  • Our time in this adorable circa-1799 cottage was too short, but we enjoyed every minute there, and Vicki could not have been a more accommodating host. Her recommendations of places to see/eat/go during our stay were invaluable.

  • Staying at Laura's cottage was an enchanting experience. As soon as you walk in you feel as though you've been transported back to a simpler time. The house was clean and inviting. We arrived to find the fridge stocked with oranges, english muffins, and sparkling water. Vicki and Greg's book about the history of the cottage was an enjoyable read. I would highly recommend the walking ghost tour. It was a lot of fun and you'll find out why Laura's cottage is so haunted. Though we did not encounter any paranormal activity it still spooked us. The weather was beautiful; April is a great time to visit and would highly recommend Laura's cottage to those looking for an authentic stay in Savannah.

  • Staying in Laura's cottage on our first visit to Savannah made for a true southern gothic experience. Enchanting and full of history, it's easy to feel transported back in time at the end of the day as the light dims, the fragrance of Confederate Jasmine fills the air and everything grows quiet except for the night birds.

The cottage is also perfectly located and we walked everywhere, including to a show at the Savannah Civic Center/Johnny Mercer Theater. In fact, the only time we got in the car was to head out to Bonaventure cemetery.

Vicki was the perfect hostess, stopping by to say hello when we arrived and offered some great dining suggestions. The cottage was immaculate and the fridge was even stocked with muffins, fruit, OJ, milk and other beverages. My husband was a big fan of the Hot Pockets found in the freezer.

There were so many little touches and unexpected surprises. If you're on the fence about booking, just do it. You won't be disappointed. We're already planning for a return visit.

  • A wonderful special place to stay that could not have been in a better location. The cabin is small but had everything we needed. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I enjoy teaching, bicycling, and traveling. My husband makes furniture in a studio a block from the cottage. We love living in this hauntingly beautiful city.
