About this listing
The house is detached from our big villa. It has its own private entrance. It is within a large garden. It's fully furnished with private bathroom complete with shower and french bidet. There is a brand new kitchen fully equipped and a lounge where you can enjoy dinner or a lunch in the sun just outside in the garden. It is an area of Roma full of "liberty" style villas, and is well connected to the turist centre.
A really unusual place in Rome. You are only 30 - 40 minutes away fron the city centre, and, at the same time, you have your own room with an indipendent entrance from our main house. When the weather is good you can enjoy your breckfast in our private garden.
You can enjoy tea or coffee as soon as you wake up ...... there is a boiler and a coffee machine and we provide tea and coffee.
In a little frige you will find complimentary cold drinks.
Bed linen and towels, pillows and duvet, shampoo, shower gel, handwash, hairdryer are provided.
With our house you share only the main entrance to the garden. Therefore you have full privacy during your stay.
You have free access to all parts of the garden and if you so wish you can have your meals outside in the garden. You will have the keys to the garden entrance and to the guest house, so you have no problem in coming back any time of the day or night.
If you come by car there is plenty of free parking space nearby.
I and my partner believe that guest are mainly interested in visiting the city of Rome. However we are quite happy to share a meal or a drink in the garden, to give you advise on what to see and where to go .. to help you in any way you may need.
This area of Rome is known as "la citta giardino" which means the "garden city". This is so because is full of villas (not huge ugly buildings) surronded by gardens.
There are 2 buses going to the centre. The journey is about 30 - 40 minutes depending on the traffic. The cost is € 1,50. Daily and weekly tickets are available.
There are parks, nice restaurants, bars and coffee shops nearby. During the warm season April - October there are plenty of bars and pubs which serve food and drinks outside in the green. And in the winter, should you be lucky with a sunny day, you can have a lunch outside in the garden under or banana and palm trees !!!
If you want to chat with us we are happy if you don't want we are happy .... whatever you feel like ... we are experienced tourist as well ... sometimes we are desperate to talk to local people, other times we feel like beeing on our own.
It's a lovely area of Roma. It's called the "garden city" "la città giardino" ...
P. Valery says that "in most cities the majority of buildings are silent, some talk and very few sing". In our area many buildings talk and ours sings ...
A square five minutes walk away is full of restaurants, bar, coffee shops, wine and beer places and nice parks where you can enjoy your drinks in spring summer ...
If you are nice and friendly that's fine. We are very easy going people and are animal friendly.
The hosts are great and the place is unique so you'll get value for your money for sure. The only thing is bothering the noise. The place is more noisy than is ever said. A kindergarden is very closeby so if you like to sleepin might not happen. There is a open-air club closeby also so at night the same situation occur.
All in all, the noise was not a big issue for us so I did not complain about it to the hosts. I only mentioned it because never been mentioned it before.
We had a lovely time staying here, it is very bohemian and laid back. We had the most contact with Alessandra as we could not speak Italian or French but Adriana was very lovely. We were made to feel very welcome, especially by the dog and cat.
It is really easy to get into central Rome by bus, which is very regular and inexpensive.
It is a beautiful home and we had a lovely time.
I booked Adrianas place for my parents. They felt great at their place.
The apartment is beautiful and the Hosts where very warm hearted.
Exactly what I wanted to book for them.
The house was really nicely designed, just like in the pictures, with a beautiful garden with lots of sunshine and spaces to sit. Adriana's two dogs are very friendly, as are the cats that are around the house too. There's a bus stop into central Rome, about 2 minutes walk from the house, with very regular transport and night buses too. The town itself has a market, supermarkets, bars by the river and restaurants.
Adriana and Alessandro were very friendly when we saw them, and the house was clean and tidy, with good food and bathroom supplies already there.
We had a great time, thank you for hosting us!
My stay at this little place was so nice. I had been traveling for months and in big cities and I just needed a little solo respite time and this place offered it perfectly. Before coming, the hosts were good at communicating and their directions got me to the place perfectly. Upon arriving, I was warmly greeted. Anyone looking for a laid-back, modern, out-of-the-city, unique, charming bungalow you should stay here. I also really loved the cooking supplies, coffee, and information booklet about Rome, which I used a lot. Also, if you don't love dogs I don't if this would be the best place for you because they have two dogs that always want to greet you and be with you. I found this nice at times, but when they were barking it'd keep me awake sometimes. Also, my only other complaint is that it was dusty and bothered my allergies. Other than that, this place totally matches how it's advertised :).

About the Host, Adriana
I and my partner live in Roma, where we have a beautiful house with a large garden. We like to have visitors from all over the world. The two apartments we rent have their own entrance and are part of our villa. We share the same very large garden. With your own keys, an independent and exclusive space, you are free to come and go any time of the day. A bus stop is two minutes away from the villa and a single bus takes you to the centre in 20 - 35 minutes (depending on the traffic). During fall, spring and summer you can also enjoy being in the garden and relaxing in a situation which resembles more the contryside than a city house.
We are very easy going people, my partner likes to do artisan works and I am a painter. Most of all we like to meet people from different parts of the world. Animals are welcome. That's all thanks. Bye bye.
